Update... sorry that I haven't been around. Had unexpected neck surgery and the recovery was tiring. I am back to work and starting to get my life back on track. I'd consider myself a slow loser, but doing very well with constant losses no matter how small. Hope everyone is well and remaining successful.

Sleeved Dec. 28 th, feeling great and learning how to treat my new tummy.

Looks like Aetna and my Dr were unable to connect during the allotted time frame for a peer to peer review. The next step is a written appeal. Wish me luck. :-(

I've been denied by Aetna...another bump in my journey.... it's because of my low BMI in 2009. My PCP had addressed that in a letter, just another cycle of diet and exercise, either they didn''t see it or ignored it. My Dr is scheduled to do a Peer to Peer appeal next week in hopes of getting me approved. My sister is all sleeved, at home and doing well.

I'm soon going to have VSG. I am curious to know if your husband's issue has gotten under control. His he able to he sleeve normal again? Has his Dr considered the RNY? I have a reflux issue and my Dr ultimately gave me the choice, but leaned toward the RNY because of my problem, I asked for the sleeve, I'm having a little doubt here.

I I didn't realize there was so little room to write. :-) My question is, would you like to become sort of pen pals and follow one another with our journey?

Good morning... I love your photos... You're a beautiful woman and why I thought I would write to you is that we are in the same stage of the process. I also thought we were about the same size according to the photos. I am much older and shorter, but probably have the same amount of BMI to lose. I have now been to two open orientations and have chosen a Bariactric center.
