are you hungry at all...ive heard a few people complaining that they are still hungry. i thought this surgery took that away the hungry.

Hello i was wondering if anyone else on here is going to be seeing Dr. Rodrigez around the 9th of may, i was just wondering because im gettting so anxious and wondering if anyone else will be there the same time as me...just curious. im doing my pre op diet but honestly have been thinking about having my last awful cheat dinner tonight.. i have been really good so far and went into ketosis after 2 days..i dont know if that means my liver is shrinking but eekkk..im nervous about it all....

i think they did....i didnt check that..i do have a 4 hour layover on the way there. thank the lord i dont have but a small one on the way home

Hey Texas Diva...girl do not apologize...i appreciate ANY story anyone has to offer on this site,,,there is no place better that to be real here. Nothing but the truth...reguardless if its bad or good. I enjoy reading everyones story here. thank all of you for making this forum what it is...im sure one day i will have some insite for a new person that is about to fulfill a dream. ive been dreaming for about 10 years now and its about to come true here on May 9th. I am so excited. and i truely believe that i made an awesome decision to go to dr. Rod. and yes i am going to Star Medica. Although it may not be in the best of cities i dont plan on venturing out into the town...maybe one day i can go into Mexico where it is not so dangerous but i am going there strickly business....i was very appreciatine of your honesty and we should all be honest..THank you so much girl!!!

i ran into the same thing...i went to priceline.com and named my own price...the tickets were going to run me 630 a piece...that was insane...so anyhow i put a bid in to NAME MY OWN PRICE of 360 and it denied it. so i put in 380...denied again but then it spit up a page that offererd other options. some woould not work...such as my surgery is may 9th and wont be discharged til may 12th..they offered me to fly back on may 11th for 220...wouldnt work...so then they offered me 330 after taxes and everything if i flew out on the 7th...so i weighed my options and it was cheaper to go that route and get a hotel for the two days before my surgery.. so instead of paying almost 1300 for mine and hubbys tickets we are paying 860 and get a mini vaca in a very nice resort. hope this helps

I have not been sleeved yet but i was in the past on a ketosis diet and I ordered food like that all the time and some people just give you the look like they want to ask you why would you not want the best part..lol but never bad attitude or anything. some people do look at you like you are speaking a different language just because they have never had an order like that but never anything bad. hope you enjoy your dinner with your hubby, i cant wait til im on the other end and figuring all this stuff out like you guys.

So im trying to get all of my ducks in a row and i have no idea what i should bring with. I guess i should start by saying that i am going to Juarez Mexico and having my procedure done by Dr. Rod. I have seen a few post but was hoping to hear what some of you brought that you were glad to have and some of the things that you wished you had. omg i LOVE the atkins shakes. I have only had the coffee ones but interested if the regular flavors are as thick and satisfying as the coffee ones...if anyone knows could you let me know...

Hey fellow May 9 thers, I am on day 3 of my pre op and oh boy is it hard..i wish i could just hide in a room and dare someone to come in with the smell of food on them...But i cant..lol dont get me wrong i am staying strong...but i have 5 other people in the house and 3 are my babies and i have to make them meals too...that is the hardest part...lol i do have a nagging headache and feel like laying around all the time..but i did Zumba last night and i about passed out i was sooo dizzy and sick to my tummy. i know that this will all change soon enough..thanks to this site it makes my days go alot better

it does thank you so very much....im getting so nervous..i have 12 days til my surgery and ive been dreaming of it for over 10 years...

so as of yesterday i have gotten my plane tickets and all other arrangement..which means there is no turning back!!! not that i want to..lol

im actually going to Juarez, Mexico. I just started my pre op yesterday and boy am i having a hard time...but its worth it..hehe im looking forward to weighing myself to see where im at next tuesday

i sure hope someone answers your question..im wanting to know the same thing..also how to put a pic on there too. when is your surgery and where are you having it. my surgery is may 9th.

I have been researching my decision and have been in contact with BeLite, I have made plans to go to Juarez Mexico to have the gastric sleeve done. I am so nervous about going in though texas right there. im hearing more and more scary stories. Then ill read a story from a person on here about how wonderful their experience was. Should i change my plans or go with it? Is there still alot of bad things happening there? Also i have been talking to my cordinator and she is so sweet. Her name is Ishi. i have asked her about the crime and she tells me that there is crime there but that i will not be anywhere near where the crime happens. Dont get me wrong i do trust her but the self protecting side of me says "she wouldnt say, yes there is alot of scary things and you might wanna say good bye to your family and friends cause you might not come back..." lol i dont think many people would go. ANY help or advice would be great!

just remind yourself that you have the rest of your life to worry about money...the thing is that is you get this surgery you will be able to enjoy it even more! you will be able to live longer to enjoy it..and maybe more motivated and inspired to make more than you would now. plus if i know myself when i have lotsa money its easy to go out and "celebrate" at and enjoy myself and a resturaunt...which sure helped me get to my size 28 and 360 lbs. im going in to have my WLS the begining of may and if reading this makes me sound like i have it all together that is sooooo wrong...lol i just keep reminding me that anything that the money could buy us now id still be the unhappy overweight woman who makes tons of excuses which again helped me maintain my unfit unhealthy self conscience sself i see in the mirror every day! good luck and im sure you will make the right decision for you. just seeing that everyone here has alot of the same fears and concerns than me makes this seem so much easier....wish i could pack all of you up and bring you with me to keep encouraging me and making me feel like this is the right thing...hehehehe

so exciting. im going to be going for mine the may 9th and i am all of the above...but i do say that at times terror trumps...lol. i am excited and i try not to tell my family that im scared just because they are too and i need to be strong so they dont discourage me. i am so happy to have joined on here so that i can see and read that im not the only one. where are you having your surgery?
