    You Guys Make Me Sane

I too come here every time I struggle with something sleeve-related (and also all the other days, actually). Its so good to have so many around like here, I totally agree with you! I love this forum.
  2. Ti's always good to read that things are are getting better. The first week is pretty hard, then it does go easier...
  3. Slow loser??? 123 lbs in 7 months don't really sound like a slow loss to me!!! You look great in the pics. And the places you must have seen there! So jealous! I am happy you enjoyed it, that's my next destination in the USA (maybe next year, maybe not, but soon enough)! Congratulations!

    salad??

3 months out and I could easily have salad. I have it almost every time (once a week) I have lunch with a friend (we normally go mac donald's, so I get a small salad without high calory sauces). No problems. I really missed it during the first 3 months!
  6. AS ybnormal says, why don't you tell him to join the site? There's even a section for sleevers' family members and friends! It sounds to me like he was just looking for an easy way out of the relationship, but I don't know him so I can't really judge. You do need need all the possible support right now, you can't worry about what other people feel or think. It's stressful enough. My hubby was against it, which annoyed me a lot. I obviously did it anyway and now that he sees me happier and skinnier he is happy too, he even told me I made the right decision ("Really?!"). I am sure you'll try to talk to him again, but if he desn't get it... Well, let it be...

    What all do you track?

I am a terrible example... I don't really track proteins, water etc... I write down everything I eat everyday and the amount of calories that gives me... I don't track water, nor any other fluid I drink (tea, soft drinks, camomile...)...
  8. Wow, congratulations! Thank you for sharing! What a difference!!!

    Recovery Question

We don't have kids either and I was fine alone at home while hubby was working. I went back to work a week after surgery and I was fine. Hubby helped with shopping bags every Saturday (he still does now, I love this new habit) and I too was able to prepare his dinner ever night. I think you'll be fine!

    Going to Get VSG !!!

As you probably have already read in other topics all you're going through right now is absolutely normal! Most of us went from over excited to over worried... I definitely did, I couldn't really imagine my life without a part of my stomach or without overeating, but here I am happy with the decision I made and not regretting a single thing! Are you following a diet right now? What's your goal? How did you come to the decision to get the sleeve? I wish you all the best for your surgery and these last weeks of preparation! I am sure you'll find the answers for most of your questions on this website.

    Food Funeral

I had food funerals for a month... Fast food and all things I love... My surgeon didn't ask me to go on liquid diet either... I guess I just needed to say goodbye to my old life...

    CRUISING!!!

Wow, the Caribbean! That's going to be SO nice! I bet you already see yourself lying on a white sand beach... I am going to go to the beach too in August and feel the same... I need a tankini (I hate my scars)! I love the idea of not being the biggest person on the beach!!!
  13. I guess there isn't much to say, I wish you all the best and hope everything is going to get back to normal for you as soon as possible.Thank you for sharing your experience.

    !!! MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT !!!

    9 weeks out!!

Great job! Cogratulations! I bet your family will be really surprised!
  19. I agree with Crosswind, Italians ARE evil... Anyway it still happens to me too. I discovered that I don't tolerate meat anymore, I have to throw up every single time I eat it (except for baby food, which I am getting tired of). Sometimes I get carried away, don't think about what I am doing (eating) and end up feeling nauseous all day, even if it's not meat. I guess lasagne aren't the best choice for the first day of solid food, I'd give it another couple of months before trying them again! Don't worry too much about it though, as you can see we all had similar experiences, it's hard to get to know the new stomach and our new relationship with different food...
  20. You look great! Thank you for the update and good job! I love to hear such success stories!
