How was your 5:2 day today?

Happy New Year lady friends! I hear you Cathy. Im having something of the same problem myself. Im at 10 pounds over my low bounce. I gained around 7 during my moms illness and death eating to feel better and poor eating plan use... and then 3 more during the holidays.... exercise a little off too. I have been trying to write it all down, even if Im off plan, which has slowed down the gain at least.... Yes. the new year is upon us, and time to turn things around! You CAN do it Cathy, as can we all... we will do it togehter. Sheryl, I think sometimes guys like to watch women eat with a good appetite... perhaps he is complamenting you! Some guys hate it when women eat like birds or just eat salad. Who knows, maybe he just thinks you have some "gusto". It may mean something quite different to him than it does to you.

    Plexus Pri Bio 5

pro biotics can be healthy for us, but if after a few days, you feel bad, then I would think twice about taking them. Here is a review of the product you are trying... http://supplement-geek.com/plexus-slim-probio5-research-review/

    can't do this

Best of luck to you dear, You are looking wonderful, and BFs mom needs to mind her own business. Sounds like she is objectafying you by talking about your body and not your lovely heart and mind. Don't let her bring you down, you are always worth being nice to no mater what your body size. Chin up! You take care of yourself.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Whaaaa? Thats crazy! I managed to get sick, and have been in bed the last 3 days... I have managed to lose about 3 pounds, which Im sure is all muscle! Went out shopping for dog and people food as the cupbords were bare, and felt like I was flying half the time. Watch out for people like me on the road! Going back to work tomorrow, as after two days you need to get a Drs note to get sick pay... and I really don't want to go to the Docs... theres nothing she can do for me except charge me a $20 co pay and parking! I don't think i am contagious at this point.... Glad Wednesdays are easy days for the most part. Cheers and Happy upcoming New Year to you all! Any fun plans?

How to get out of mental weight-loss mode?

The weeks I let go of that mentality, I gain. Don't sweat it, just call it maintinance in stead.

    Raw fruits & veggies

If a particular fruit or veggie is hard to take, try something else and then try the offender again in a month or two. I could eat almost anything at 4 months, but apple peals, iceburg lettuce and celery...not until around a year out. Now, I can eat anything.

How was your 5:2 day today?

First wish... all the health issues get settled soon for you guys! Do take care! Easy for me to say, I have a list as long as my arm to finish this morning... up at 4 bakeing.... am officially up 10 pounds... not crying yet, but thinking about it.... I am making a plan for this weekend, after the main rush of eating oppurtunities is past... I will need to become a control freak for a while.... I'm not liking my 'pooch'... the tummy is coming back... not liking that AT ALL! Hope you all have a great Christmas (if thats what you celebrate) and I am looking forward to the new year with you all! Very gratefull.

How was your 5:2 day today?

I have to say, it has been (and still is) one eating opportunity after another! I am trying to take my own advice and write it all down, even when they are not great choices... but some home made chocolate covered peanut butter balls are not countable unless you make them your self! (thats my pathetic excuse....) Most days where I count, I am about 300 cals over my limit.... so 10 days = a pound... good luck with that. I can see a pooch developing on my stomach.... peanut butter ball pooch! YIKES!!!

Sarah! So sorry to hear this! You take good care of yourself, A car crash is just rotten. Glad it wasn't worse, or your fault, but get a good checkup and any treatment you may need. Don't tell me the other guy was texting? My last two accidents were caused by someone texting....

Coops! You look like you guys were having so much fun! Don't count on me to get you motivated to do the 5:2... after all my talk Im at about once a week too... company, parties, leftovers... heaven help me! I am fasting tomorrow and looking forward to it!
  20. RJ, just like the sleeve, that Dr. is a tool (hehe, get it?) He was put in front of you to figure out why you have passed out and how to fix that. He is single sighted, has the eye on the ball and doesn't know shlt about the bigger picture. You have done what you were asked to do, lose the weight. When you went in to see him, the ball was in his court... and he told you what to do to solve the health problem. You (really its the surgery) are a failure of his craft (health, not looks) .... and he wants to fix it. You don't need to feel bad that he said you are a failure... its not YOU. Its the complex meeting of the surgery and your body biology. Like you told him, you were the walking dead before you lost this weight. You are better off now, even if there are still some problems. You will take his advice, and probably get some relief from your body. ( controlled grazing is practiced by many here with success... its the uncontrolled grazing that gets us into trouble) AND you will be a normal weight which is a cause to PARTY! People here need to lose weight, and a lot of other things are broken as well. Why should you be a saint? You have done the first part, and thats what we all have in common.. so tell whoever it was that implied you don't belong here to get back to the work of losing the weight, and leave their negativity at the door (at least most of the time!) I have been coming here for 4 years and Im not "fixed" yet. Does this mean I should just quite the place? Heck no. My friend are here, and lots of big and little advice that gets me through the day. There is NO cure for what I have! Just maintenance day by day.

How was your 5:2 day today?

Florinda, so sorry girl... but I have to agree that you have so much going on, a great new job, a life away from all the super stress of Afghanistan.... your life is looking up. Just make room for whatever good falls in your lap. You never know when that will happen, and in the mean time enjoy how your life is right now just the way it is. Its all we really "have". Swiz, glad you are hanging out here even if you are not talking... and glad you let us know what is up. Sorry you are so stressed out... I was in a black out in Hongkong years ago... Craig and I were on the 17th floor of our cheep hotel... listed as a "death trap" in our travel book. We heard sirens, saw flashing lights from the street in front of the hotel... we were sure the place was going up in smoke with us in it. We grabbed our stuff and walked down the 17 floors by the stairwell... garbage cans full of trash, changes in where the next floor doors were... crazy! We got down to the ground floor, and jumped into a taxi and headed to the airport. Enough was enough. I have to say, when crazy happens, if you live through it, its a good story. I am in Sacramento, only an hour and a half away. If you want to escape, come visit. I know your crazy busy, but you always have a choice. Don't forget to do something you love every day... you are close to some great views, museums, clubs and nature. Grab a little for yourself. Sheryl..... My bush (bushlet) is very strange looking at this point of my life. I used to shave or wax to get more of a bacon strip... but for some reason, the hair has stopped growing right where I might actually like to have some. If it was up to me, I might just like it all off too... it is the most sensual feeling.... but what a hassle. I just keep it short... minimizing the monks bald spot right in the middle! I am lucky I have very little hair, and shave the pits and legs maybe twice a year if that. Im lucky I have any hair on my head! Even my eyebrows are so thin I need to shade them in... and now that they are gray... they just fade out without help. I dye them once in a while.

Sheryl! Congrats! You are a super star in this domain. I will have my 4th year Jan 19th. The time has flown by.... and yes Denise, the work really only starts at maintenance. Its just a lovely fantasy to think you reach goal and are **""Bling""** normal...forever.... no more work. (boo hoo pity party over for now)

    The 5:2 Diet

I didn't check in monday.... I have company from out of the country, and it has been a bit of an eating fest. Thanks goodness for the sleeve! They are leaving in the morning, and I am looking forward to getting back on track. This is a broken record... I do this every time someone comes to town and stays at my place! Well, it was fun, and only three days... so onward!
