Hubby wants bypass but I don't

Its good you will be going to his Dr apt to ask questions. You might ask your husband to check out this website too... There are lots of posts on this site that list the reasons to get the sleeve over RNY... Check out tiffykins... she has made some great lists... Like you say, in the end it is his personal choice... -

I have lost 4 pounds from the time I saw this post( I saw it on June 14th- 12 days ago). I have dialed down the cals a couple of days a week, stepped up the exercise (dusted of my bike) and start the day with an extra glass of water... JUST A FEW LITTLE CHANGES... and things are moving.! Mostly I have changed my snacks a little... less junkie and more protein and veg combos. We can do this people! -
I would ask my Dr. on that one...

Running up caloric deficit, is it safe?
feedyoureye replied to Rootman's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Girl! I think the sugar plum fairies must be sneaking in at night and feeding you treats while you sleep! It looks like you are doing everything right to me! Perhaps gaining muscle weight? -
Wait till at least 6 weeks are up. It takes this long for the surgery to heal internally. Then start slowly....pace yourself. I take dance class twice a week, walk for 45 minutes twice a week and something else once a week, like yesterday I rode my bike for about 2 hours. I started this 2 1/2 years before I got the surgery, and as the fat melts off there are some muscles underneath!

I had low potasium at surgery... they put me on a drip, 6-8 bags I think it was until my numbers went up. They recomended I drink PowerAid Zero for a while when I got home. Last year I had heart atrial fibrillation and ended up in the hospital, I wonder if that might have had something to do with it...

Myrori, 107 pounds is a tremendous loss! Congrats. I am hoping to get down to the 160's. I have some spots that don't want to budge too... the stomach is smaller, but in all honesty, it has never been flat...even when I weighed less than I do now...so I am not holding out for it being flat this time. I do have better core muscles though, and that helps with part of the definition. -
30 of July, you still have a month... hopefully you can meet your deadline and come out with us!

My computer double posts all the time...its driving me wild!

Proposed Meeting Place, Hayward, CA
feedyoureye replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Perhaps alternate Hayward/ Sacramento every other month? I am unlikely to go to Hayward, although I would love to meet you all in the Bay area! Could we plan a meeting for Sacramento too while we are at it? -
Hows it going? Hope all is well so far for you...

14 weeks out tomorrow and a stall??
feedyoureye replied to VSGandMe2011 (DisneyMomma)'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
On an apple the shortcut is: option-shift-4 to select a portion of the screen, a target/bullseye will appear in place of the pointer and you can left click and hold while you drag it over where you want to save. option-shift-3 to take a pict of the whole screen... If it is working, you will hear a camera shutter sound when it "shoots" the pic. If you have a PC, you will have to look it up on the web... not sure about that one.... good luck! I would love to see some other graphs! -
14 weeks out tomorrow and a stall??
feedyoureye replied to VSGandMe2011 (DisneyMomma)'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What is the c25k? I dont know if it has anything to do with your slowdown, but my doc and nut say eat around 800 cals a day for the whole middle of the losing phase... I am averaging 900 a day because I work out 5 days a week.... the nut said to up my calories a little if I work out more, which I am right now. It looks like your protein and water are excellent... adding a weight day I'm sure will be good too..Just because you are having a few weeks losing slowly does not mean it will stay that way... it just may be a slow/go month... it can happen... -

I know that voice....telling you that this is the end, no more loss! But its not true. You have been spectacularly successful... your body can't keep that up in one week and out the other... it will catch its breath and head back down... Here is a graph of my last 8 weeks... see all the ups?... they eventually all go down so far.... -
Your stomach swelling is probably going down, and you have more room to fit food in.... but keep in mind liquids just move on through. You will feel true restriction after you start eating some mushies and true food! Promise!
