  1. I pretty much ate what I wanted when I wanted for a few days there... bounced up 4 pounds (I can bounce about 3 pounds when eating everything right) but the scale was telling me something for sure... I started a lax version of Divas boot camp two days ago and lost it all back down to my lowest so far. At 11 months my restriction is still good. I can eat more than at 3 months, but it seems to be the same as about 7 months. Hurray for the sleeve!

    I'll show you mine... (LBD's)

Hahaha! Wilma.... You could start a new look... with a bone in your hair? Hehe...I love that style, but not on me either...I DO like the animal print revival going on though....
  3. I'm on the second day of Divas bootcamp and lost 2 pounds the first day. I just had to mostly dump the refined carbs for a while and get back on track. You know what you need to do, start by writing it all down somewhere... fitday or myfitnesspal... that really helps to get a hold of what you are doing to yourself. No regrets now, just do it.
  4. Becca, you look fantastic! You have really had a great transformation!
  5. Early on I was lactose intolerant. Lucky for me that went away by about the 6th week or so. Now I can eat anything in moderation. I can have a little "dumping" with too much sugar, which I try to use in only small amounts. Read up on cocoanut... it can really cause you problems....search it here...
  6. Im so glad you had all your labs and scope done... hope the Docs figure out what the heck is going on and fix it once and for all! Hang in there girl, sending you best wishes.

    Eating Too Much?

46 pounds in 6 weeks is very good. I would not compare my weight loss to others, we are all different. I would watch the sugar until you lose much of your weight. It might not be very many calories (you do log your food don't you to keep track?) but sugar has a tendency to make you hungry... the more you eat, the more you want.... Some foods are "sliders" and just mush up and slide right down... perhaps salad is that for you. LIke PDXman said, eat your protein first to make sure you get the restriction and your requirements, then if you want a treat later, how about surgar free pudding cup, a SF hard candy or jello.... I would stay away from cookies or cupcakes... I know they are yum, but you are here for a lifestyle change, and follow your Docs plan as close as you can so you will have not regrets or slower weight loss than you can..... the honeymoon phase does not last forever. It gets harder to lose and slower later on....At 11 months I had quiet a few sugar treats this christmas and had a weight gain... Im back on the streight and narrow for a week, to shake that sugar craving and lose those extra pounds! Jump back on girl, you are doing great with the weight loss!

    Chocolate Cravings, Really?

SF chocolate pudding and SF hot chocolate really got me through the first part of my plan, now its chocolate chips- 1T sometimes with a T of peanut or almond butter. Gotta have some chocolate!

    Dreaded 3-week Stall - Info?

Remember to measure during stalls, you just might be losing inches.
  13. If you don't get the sleeve, then what will your life be in 30 years? I just know that at 58 I was starting to fall apart, and the excess weight was not helping at all.

    Dreaded 3-week Stall - Info?

Search the forums... you will find lots of comments about it... I had it starting at 2 1/2 weeks, lasted over 4 weeks. I really dont think there is anything you can do about the early stalls... just follow the plan, chill out and know your body will do what it wants and needs to do to keep you healthy. It has been very "injured", is losing weight very fast, you are eating strangely, and sometimes the body just stops losing and tries to maintain. The weight will start coming off in a while. Not everyone gets the stall... but many do. You can try switching up your eating or exercise... drinking more water...getting more protein... as far as I can tell, nothing really works until your body wants to let go of the weight. Just keep on plan, and try not to stress, that does Not help. Come here and bit@h.... that does help!
  15. I did not have this, but it sounds like esophageal spasms... someone here said she sipped warm liquid to calm the spasms. Herbal tea or broth... hope it helps, if not, call your surgeon. They do go away.

    Holidays And Food!

I'm working on getting back on track today... I am happy I got to attend so many parties lately, and really got to show off my new look to people I hadn't seen in a while... that was fun, but I did a lot more snacking than usual for sure. I also could see emotional eating kicking in, from seeing my family. The parents are getting up there in years, and I can see they are needing more and more support... I have been swinging between 1-3 pounds over my low weight this last week... not really that bad, but I see how I can really just eat a bunch of sugar and refined stuff and then crave more pretty quickly. This is how it was before surgery, and it is still there, mediated by my inability to eat as much at a sitting... THANK HEAVENS! I really have to take care of myself and keep my eye on the prize... better health. My husband has gained a bunch of weight this last year... around 30 pounds... and he is planing on getting into changing his lifestyle for the better, this might make it easier for me too. Well hang in there ladies and gents! And after New Years is should be a little easier to do the right thing.

    Husbands losing weight

After a year of eating everything that I did not... my hubby had decided to take his health a little more seriously. Im sure he will lose it ALL in about 3 months. He was feeling poorly a couple of years ago... lost his appetite (only ate 6 pieces of bread a day instead of 10) and lost 35 pounds in a month. I'm so glad I have lost most of my excess weight before he started this new lease on life.
