. I know, I'm not really "working" anything. This is easy. What's weird is watching *everybody else* and thinking good lord, where are you putting all that?
Isn't that funny how things change, I feel the same way when watching other people eat! gotta love the sleeve

Time to change that profile pic girl, you look 20 years younger now!! great job!! and how exciting..

I can say that I just called my doctors office about this today. I am 2 weeks out today and I feel a constant pressure, full feeling (bloated) and while I am still eating and drinking I occasionally have some pain with it going down. Deep breaths hurt today almost like I pulled a muscle. My doctors office told me that as long as I am not vomiting and do not have black stool to hang in there and she will contact me on Thursday to see how I am doing.
I would suggest giving the doctors office a call just to let them know and see what they tell you.
they want me to call back in the morning, its been going on since Sunday nifght..And it sounds like I have the same symptoms as you, gosh is it painful!! I sure hope its gone by morning..Hope you feel better as well and let me know what your Dr says?

I started on solids last wednesday, and I am just about 5 weeks out, Ive lost 26 lbs since the start of my liquid diet the week before, by Dr tells me Im right on track..I had the same concerns as you.
-
My NUt told me to wait until I was on solids to try it, that was 4 weeks for me. I had a glass of white wine last night with no problems. Tasted good too...lol felt relaxed but not tipsy..I have had no problems with foods etc. been tolerant to everything I've tried so far, I feel lucky for that! Good luck to you

Hope you are on your road to recovery soon, look forward to hearing your updates on youtube.. I had my surgery on April 11th and it seems like a lifetime ago, feeling good and life is somewhat back to normal..hang in there

Best of luck to everyone,...let us know how you are, keep us posted!!

That is some scary stuff for sure, I agree .you need to find another surgeon who has experience, you will thank yourself for doing that later on when you dont have any complications, or at least the potential ones you cold have with your current surgeon.

Just Jess
there are days when I can definately get in more and do! then days when I cant, the solids are more filling and Mushies flow a lot easier.
I felt the same way you do , and I will be 3 weeks on monday. I havn't had much trouble at all with the liquids either. I chalk it up to my stomach healing quickly. Hopefully that is the case. .Ive been doing really well with keeping things down and havnt had any trouble with any foods so far. Hopefully it will stay that way....
Congrats on your weight loss was it all post op?

I had my surgery the same day as you, I lost 9 the week before and 11 in the 2 weeks since surgery. I knew about the stalls so I am not worrying about it...slow and steady wins the race!!

I have Cigna and went through the 6 month diet, didnt really loose anything for the most part. When I went to my PCP I told her I was changing my eating habits, increasing my excercising etc. and she documented that in her notes. I actually only had to go through 4 montth b/c I had proof within the past year that I tried and failed at weight watchers (still had my record book) . The lady who handled the insurance at my Surgeon's office submitted the book along with 4 months of my supervised diet and I was able to get approved..Still took 6 months from start to finish by the time I was scheduled for the surgery.. The best advise I can give is dont gain a lot of weight in the 6 months, they want to see that you can stick to a program. The 6 months gives you time to do all the research and get your mind in order for the surgery. By the time I had my surgery I was good and ready not one doubt in my mind!!

Hello All. I was sleeved April 19,2011 ! I am one week and one day post-op. Still a litte sore but doing better than I thought I would be when it came down to my attitude towards food. Right now it's hard enough getting the liquids down so I'm "not soooooo" ampt about food. As of today I'm starting to feel the need to chew but the fear of swallowing food right now just overwhealms my desire to eat. To spite all of this I am getting enought Proteins. One of the Protein sources I'm using is called Nitro-Peak 50X. It's carried by GNC, and EDGE Nutrition. Not sure about any other stores. It's contains 4oz content of pure protein. I recommend mixing it with Water or what ever works for you. They come in different flavors.
congratualtions!! good to hear your doing well..thanks for the protein tip!

Definately can relate to you on this Crosswind, although I am on my second marraige, my first one ended in the death of my husband and left me with four very young children..and thats just the tip of the iceberg! We are expected to be strong no matter what.. and food somehow is something to turn to like a friend.
For me it is time to let go of the past and look forward to the future!!

welcome home!! Glad to hear you are doing well!! I never really count the popcicles as Fluid, but I suppose if they melt they would turn to liguid and I was told that anything left sitting out that turns to liquid counts as liquid.
