  1. I have started Jillian's 30 day Shred dvd which I bought at Target for $10. It has 3 levels and yes level 1 is unbelievably hard for me but I feel great when it is over! The thing I like about this DVD is that Jillian has someone doing modifications for almost every exercise so its for all levels. It's a combination of Cardio, Abs, and Strength.

  2. Angie -

I just came back from 2 weeks of vacation and lost! I tried to stop obsessing about everything I put into my mouth (which is hard for me) and just focused on eating healthy. I actually felt pretty normal, which was nice:) I also REALLY worked hard each day to walk or bike to make sure I was burning calories. I think you will do just fine - just make sure you aren't too hard on yourself.

Oh, most importantly my drink recommendation is vodka and cranberry (the light kind that is only 5 calories) and lime - yummy!

    Have a blast!

  3. Doing well here:) Less pain in my feet and knees - I am able to walk a lot and feel good working out - YIPEE! It's nice to be 2 months out - I feel a little bit more normal and can eat a variety of food so I don't feel deprived anymore.....

I'd say the biggest change is that I actually look at myself in the mirror, instead of looking "past" my reflection. I am happy with my progress. I have stopped letting the scale get me so upset and am trying to find non-scale victories.

girly.girl - hope that you feel better soon!!!

  4. I was sleeved 4/3/10 by Dr. Alvarez. The first few weeks were definitely tough but now that I am 5 weeks out life has really improved! Being able to eat a variety of foods (in small portions of course) makes me very happy. My doctor was very conservative as far as post-op diet and now I understand why. Slowly, but surely, I am able to introduce new foods. I am exercising more and have started to feel SO much better!

    YAY FOR APRIL SLEEVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Goodlife -

Can't figure out how any of those things is going to help me nutritionally....so I'm just kinda confused in general.

Try greek yogurt - it's a different taste but you might like it. It has ALOT of Protein - it's the one thing out of those you listed where you can get a significant amount of Protein. I'm hooked now, but it took awhile - I like Chobani and Oikos - lots of good flavors:)
