It will get easier for you . the weight will go and so will your "nightmares" about food. You will have to disontinue your horrible relationship with food and began to have a positive one with food. take care :lol0::lol0::lol0::lol0: -

5days out & eating Hard food, is it to fast?
kymmi12 replied to M_Bigga_M's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
:ohmy:well the way I feel about the pizza and dip is to STOP IT:mad0:!! No more bad choices of food. This is a TOOL to get you to eat right and make smart choices. Why would you go through all that major surgery only to sabatage you surgery:thumbdown:??? You got to grow and start choosing the right foods. I am 6 1/2 weeks out and I had a slice of healthy pizza last night that I made myself. It was fat free cheese and turkey pepperoni with mushrooms and diced tomatoes , no salt . It was a baby slice and I had a salad. My kids bugged me for pizza, so we went to walmart and purchased the ingredients. It was cheaper than pizza and most importantly , I made it so I know whats in it. It will come times when you will crave your favorite foods but you will have to decide what is best for you. Thats what will keep you healthy. You are now the role model of the house and your kids will follow you with healthy choices. Please try to pick healthy and watch your portions because this is a lifestyle change not just a fad. Welcome to the sleevers club. :001_tt2: a href="http://www.myfitnesspal.com/weight-loss-ticker">
Created by MyFitnessPal - Free Calorie Counter</small -
I had gastric sleeve surgery on April 14th 2010. I had NO complications at all. i stayed in the hospital for 2 days . I left on a full liquid diet . After 7 days i had permmission from my Dr to add some soft foods. I had lost 24lbs in 7days!!! WOW...It scared the mess out of me. I could not believe it. I can "feel " a difference in myself. Friends say they see a smaller kymmi. I am in La La Land... Iam so happy that I did it. i realize that i will have to stay real for my weight to drop down. I need to loose about 100lbs . I was 289lbs on surgery day. Today I am 266lbs... I 'm learning everyday how to eat and what to eat. I'm learning to chew food throughly and eat very slow. I don't enjoy drinking , I prefer to eat popcycles or eat ice chips. This is so cool.. I love it! Welll I came her to met people of all backgrounds and develop some positive friendships . I will need everyones support to help me succeed in this weght loss journey. Thank you for being apart of my "History" .

ditto . rest , heal then live... your doing great!!! -
i thought I was stretching my sleeve because when i could eat soft foods . I sometimes could eat around 5 oz but it had to be "slider" food . soft foods that slide down. But I'm 6 week out and the sleeve will let me know that I can not have another bite, I guess you have to learn your body and your "new" organ , Sleeve... Everyone is different. I asked my surgeon what was the size of my sleeve. He said 2 oz.... I think he probably tells everyone that. LOL i can't and don't overeat. Its not worth that. but I have notice that also. It makes me more aware of my foods and calories. I may eat only 900-1200 daily and I exercise daily. i have lost 38 lbs since surgery. 80lbs more to go...

OMG. Its amazing how much better I feel:thumbup:. I saw the Dr for my 6 week check in And I weigh 251lbs :001_cool:. Wow. I Too have a late -nite problem of snacking. But I choose the healthy items or very little of something., It a natural habit that I must confront head on. I can't imagine going backwards. I mean I made a pretty solid choice by getting the surgery. That was not very easy to do BUT I'm glad I did because I would have died from obesity. I was considered "Morbidly Obese" :001_rolleyes:WOW...LOL:lol0:... I am giving it my all. I want to become healthy and LEAN.. Not just loose weight but tone and strenghtning my body as well. My Dr said all my blood work was so much better on everything tested. I was very pleased with my Appt. The only thing that bothers me is muscle pain on my left side. He said it will take atleast 3-4 months to fully heal.. He said it hurts because they cut thru the long muscle to get to my pouch and cut it off and pulled it out my body. WOW... My face dropped...LOL:lol0::lol0:. He does not sugar-coat anything and I like that! But I 'm good:thumbup: .

Well since I had the surgery on April 14th 2010 , I have not used the c-pap machine. Wow... I had to get used to it also but I loved my machine as well. I took it with me on vacations and everywhere i went . BUT I sure do not miss it :biggrin0:.. I do not need it any longer..My husband says I don't even snore . ( as Loud) LOL:lol0: he says I don't toss and turn all nite or I don't wake up all through the nite. It was a true blessing that I had this done. My health was in bad shape. Now I feel like i have a chance to live:001_tt2: . God Bless you all.:thumbup1:

Hi I was sleeved on April 14th in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. I havent had any real problems , only the mental things. I can tell that my stomach has healed really good because I can sometimes eat a whole turkey sandwhich and sometimes only a half. I can only eat 5 oz tops before I feel strange.... I eat almost anything soft, but I chew very slow and good also before I swallow. I have learned alot about eating healthy:wink1:. I read all labels in the store. I measure my portions. I exercise daily:thumbup:. I walk atleast 2-3 miles. daily. or I may go swimming and do aquatics with the gals...LOl Ive lost 35 lbs and I feel fantastic... So much Energy and I really love myself for having the courage to get the sleeve. My skin looks radiant ! I get compliments all the time. my husband constantly wants me .. :lol0: I am on top of the world today..I see my Dr next week for 6 week check-in and I can't wait. At surgery I was 289- Today I weighed myself and I am 255.5 Yeah.....

"I also thought of that too. and its perfectly logical. it has to be. i'm learning more about my body everyday. because we all heal differently, which says to me that I'm in good health as far as healing after surgery. Thank God... but Today I was able to handle my eating without any discomfort. I know that a very little bit does me good. I've lost 35 lbs so far. its been 4 weeks now. I think I will do fine about my new way of eating. I'm in this for the long term, so I just want to take my time and let the fat fall off. I also exercise daily and I really enjoy that. i am very glad I had it done. My health is surely getting better. http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wovbLdc/weight.png[/img]
