You are welcome, Cindy! We have a TON of March sleevers! It really is encouraging to see a list of so many others who are getting sleeved with us in March! YAY! I don't know anyone IRL who is sleeved, so all of y'all are my only source of info and support! I hope that everyone will keep on sharing after we're sleeved! I'm so nervous about the "after"!!! LOL!

Thank y'all so much! Yesterday was MUCH better. I "ate" like I was supposed to and lost a pound! I still have another pound to go to get back to where I was last Friday, but the scale is moving in the right direction again! I'm so glad to hear that in a week this will be so much easier!! 8 days until my sleeve!! YAY!!!

My dr told me that 70% was "normal" and "expected". That involved eating pretty well and only exercising 30 minutes 3x a week. I plan on blowing that 70% out of the water!!! For once, I'd like to be "abnormal"!! LOL!

Ok, I'm using Dr. Nick too and I thought I knew the diet so I went and looked at it. I got a book from the nutrionist and a binder from Dr. Nick's office. They are different! The one from the nutrionist says clear liquids week 1 and full liquids weeks 2 and 3. The one from Dr. Nick's office says full liquids all 3 weeks. ???? Hmmmm.....not really sure what I should do! On a separate note, Doug, what hospital did you use? Baylor? Forest Park? Just wondering if we're using the same one! Thanks!

Ok, I'm on my second day of my pre-op diet and YIKES!! I'm CRANKY!!! It SO doesn't help that my "monthly visitor" came yesterday and that I'm dying for some chocolate AND I'm craving carbs!! Please, someone tell me this gets better!! I'm really trying not to open my mouth, because when I do, I want to bite someone's head off!! *sigh* This too shall pass....right?!

Thank y'all so much! Today is day 3 and things are MUCH better!! I'm still hungry most of the time, but it isn't unbearable. The crankiness is better too!! I do have more energy....so weird! My house is going to look GREAT by the time my surgery date gets here! YAY! LOL!

Yippeee!!!!! I will be sleeved on March 8th!!! I'm so excited!!! I start my pre-op diet on Feb 22nd! I feel so good knowing when everything is going to happen! I loved my surgeon, PA and the office staff! Everyone was helpful and friendly! I did discover that I currently weigh 299.2 lbs...YIKES!!! I've just been enjoying whatever food I want over the last week and, MAN, the scale told on me!!! Oh, well.....that will all change very soon!

Chris - Hope it goes smoothly for both of us! Pre-op and post-op! Lisa - My pre-op diet is 5 slimfast shakes or bars a day and a dinner of 5oz lean meat and 2 cups of veggies! It's not too bad!

I'm SOOOOOO excited!!!! My pre-op appt is TOMORROW!!! It was supposed to happen last Wed, but was cancelled due to all the ice we had last week. What questions should I ask tomorrow? Here are a few I thought of, but I'd appreciate any suggestions! Will my sleeve stretch back out? How long do we need to use birth control for after surgery? 1 year? 18 months? What bougie size do you use? How long will it take after surgery to get back to my everyday life? Driving? Lifting? Ok, those are all I can think of for now! Thanks so much! Can't wait to get my surgery date tomorrow, too!! WooHoo!!!!

Well, my Dr's office is closed tomorrow because of this crazy weather we're having here in North Texas. Darn. I have to admit I'm more than a little disappointed....BUT, I'm not eating to make myself feel better!!! Yay, Me! LOL....so, I'll reschedule on Thursday....hoping I can get in on Friday. We'll see. And kind of hoping they'll take pity on me and let me go ahead and schedule my surgery over the phone! *sigh* Thanks for letting me whine a little!!

Hey, Kim! I know what you mean!! I'm really trying to stick to the 1200 calorie diet....but the liquids during the day are pretty much over until I'm 2 weeks out from my SCHEDULED surgery date. *sigh* We've only had one blackout so far......I hope you can make it to your appointment tomorrow!!! My dr's office is supposed to call me tomorrow to reschedule and I'm HOPING I get an appointment on Friday!! GL to both of us!!!! My dr is Dr. Nick Nicholson...who are you using? Dana

Ok, I haven't gotten my surgery date yet, but it will probably be in about 2 weeks. So, I thought, why not go ahead and start my pre-op diet early!?! OMGosh. I have had a headache ALL STINKIN' DAY and I'm so tired. Please tell me it gets better!! I can already tell that I'm going to be BURNT OUT on sweet pretty quickly. I can and will do it, but no one said I had to enjoy it! LOL! I see my surgeon on Wednesday (weather permitting) and will get my surgery date. The sooner, the better I say!

Congratulations!!! I was approved yesterday! I don't get my surgery date until next Wed though....a *little* jealous that you get yours tomorrow!! :rolleyes5: Let us know when it is!!! GL!!:cheer2:

Ok.....It looks like it'll be February! I got approved yesterday and I have my pre-op appt on Feb 2nd! I'll get my surgery date then! Everyone cross your fingers for Valetine's Day!!!! :001_wub:
