Hi Alhoagirl. I chose the sleeve because I didn't believe in the band, and I didn't want the mal-absorption of the rny. The sleeve was perfect for me because I was going to be able to still lead a normal life. I didn't have any complications. I"m almost 3 months out and have lost 60lbs now and am feeling great. All the docs at Barix are great, but I think mine is the best. Dr Poplawski.

Oh, I forgot in the message I sent you, I did have a sleep study done and I also had to go to a psychiatrist for insurance approval, I actually chose to continue seeing him through all this, he's been a great listener. I didn't have to do any other testing, and my family doctor wasn't involved at all. Dr. Poplawski's team took care of everything.

I am doing really good. I see Dr poplawski tomorrow for my 6 week appt. He is a very kind, excellent surgeon. Let me know if you have any questions, I'll try to answer anything I can.

I am glad to meet so many people jsut like me. It is amazing how your words are like instant encouragement. I want to keep up with progress reports, but you guys have to too!!! WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER!!!!
