  1. I am just wondering has anyone had this problem since surgery I was sleeved in Sept, There have been a about 3 times when I have eaten not over eating at all, after a while my stomach starts hurting so bad and I get nauseated until i eventually either throw up or go to the bathroom (number 2), It dosent stop until I do those two a couple of times then I'm fine. I cant pin point it to a certain food, the first time I was eating chicken, second time salad, third time a small piece pork chop. These episodes usually last a couple of hours and during those times I am so uncomfortable I cant lay down or anything the pain is awful . The pain in my back and stomach is like a gassy type of pain and like I am so confused about this. Let me know if any of you have had this problem after being sleeved.

    Thanks

  2. Hello its been a while since I have been on here just checking on my Sept 2010 sleevers to see where everyone is. My weight loss has slowed down a whole lot, I have only lost 51 pounds since then, I was hoping for a little bit more. I am eating and drinking more so I have to watch myself. Any tips on jump starting my loss back? What are you doing to maintain and not regain at this point? Thanks for any help and tips.

    Best wishes.

  3. Hey Chantae -- I know how you feel -- I was sleeved just a day after you -- I have been struggling as of late and really started feeling down about myself and where I was and what I was doing. BUT! I watched some YouTube videos from veterans of WLS and really was inspired -- I realized that I didn't go do this surgery to be on a "diet" like I had in the past, I went into the surgery to change my life. And that included changing the process -- meaning, that if I did what I was supposed to do that day (at least in my book -- meaning: eat what I was supposed to eat, drink my 64 oz., exercise) then I was working the process of changing my life -- the weight loss WILL come if we work the process. It can't help but come.

AND there will be days/weeks when we don't lose anything or God forbid, we gain. Ok, but if we're working the process to the best of our abililty, then good stuff will happen.

I got so stuck on that stupid number on the scale I was beside myself -- I was thinking, there I go again, not losing weight after all I've been through. But you know what? The scale is a tool just like our sleeves are a tool -- we can't focus on the tool and make that the goal -- our goal should be the process.

I really do sympathize -- I know EXACTLY how you're feeling -- but please don't allow yourself to be captive to a scale -- you know that you're changing your life and that sometimes big changes require little steps :) I hope that helps!! Take care and big hugs!

  4. I was sleeved on Sept 7 I had the boot things but no drop for meds or no drains I had one cut which was in side of my belly button and It doesn't even hurt anymore:) slept on my tummy last night without any discomfort. I know everyone is different and different surgeons use different methods so everyones story and experiences may not apply to you unless your using the same Dr.

  5. I feel a little off every since yesterday, I was sleeved on 9/7 and the first 2 days were not good the next 2 where better, yesterday I was a little dizzy for some reason, last night I couldn't sleep I tossed and turned all night. I eventually got out of bed and just felt a little spacey, I'm not on any meds so I am not sure whats wrong I'm a little gasey but that passed. I am concerned about leaks and other complications I am not sure what I should be looking for. I tolerate pain pretty well I have only had to take the liquid Lortab once since I have been home so I am not really hurting I am very uncomfortable and a little light headed. If anyone can help I appreciate it.

  6. I am getting sleeved in 11 days on Sept 7. I have been struggling with the preop diet not doing it just finding stuff to eat. I have to put a lot of thought into what goes in my mouth now which is a challenge. I am ready to get this over with and start my new life thinner. I am little worried about the diet after I am sleeved any tips on meals the first week or two?
