I was approved in 4 days with Aetna *** but on an out patient basis which means I can only stay 23 hours unless there are complications. I have a BMI of 36 but I have diabetes. Hope this helps.

Hi Alex, I was supposed to have surgery the same day as you by Dr. Boorse and had to reschedule until Christmas because I obtained a teaching position the Friday before surgery. How did it go? Was the pain bad afterwards?

I pushed for the 17th but they wouldn't budge. I am going for a new teaching job that may start on the 24th if I get it I will have to move my surgery to Christmas Break. That would suck I am very frustrated over everything. Good luck!

Im so sorry to hear it. Make sure you appeal I have a friend who had to appeal twice but was finally approved. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. My doesn't go to Aetna until the first week in August. I will keep you posted.

My docter won't submit to Aetna until after my file goes to their review board which is July 28. The lady said that my sugery set for August 24th is pushing it because Aetna sometimes takes 4 weeks to approve. I heard from others with Aetna they were approved in less than a week. I am crossing my fingers since I am a teacher and it is August or I have to wait till November. Good luck!
