Do We Need Protein Drinks?
I use mine as a treat to myself. I blend it up with some ice, water and sugar free syrup and it feels like have a bit of ice cream before going to bed.

Challenge - July - Labor Day 2007
Well you know I just weighed. I weigh every Friday. That way if I have a rough weekend I have the whole week to make it up before I weigh in again. I tend to do much better during the week so it works out well for me.

Water while excersizing ..
I usually drink a 32 ounce bottle of water while I am on my treadmill. I am on anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour.

New bicycle thread!!
I like to rollerblade, but 14 miles on skates is just crazy to me lol. I can do maybe 3. Surprisingly my ass is not hurting, though it was sore last night when I got home. The rest of my body is hurting a bit from my Tour de France role playing though. Next time I need to be a little more careful and realize that Lance Armstrong has to stretch his muscles too. It is much more fun to go with a friend.

New bicycle thread!!
Okay I have been really enjoying riding my bike. Nice leisurely ride to work. DH and I went to the metropark today and for the first time I absolutely *loved* riding. We went 14 miles and it was pretty hilly. I had a blast racing down the hills. I must go again tomorrow lol. DH is reading this and wants me to mention that he did the whole 14 miles on his rollerblades. He was a real rockstar out there. I was pretty proud of him.

Feb Bandsters July Challenge
Okay I just had the time of my life. I enjoy riding my bike but today was the first day I really loved it. Dh and I did 14 miles in a little over an hour which is my new longest ride in one stretch. We were at the metropark which is super hilly and I felt like I was flying. It was amazing. Zannie you rock.

Official Bitching thread.....
You know I am getting in a bad ass mood reading about all these people who have lost tons of weight so effing quickly. I am really happy for these people but I am so green with jealousy that I look like the jolly green giant. I feel like I work so hard to get there and nothing is happening. I work my ass off. I don't have the time to workout three hours a day and it is seeming like that is the only thing that is going to do it. Maybe my weigh in tomorrow is freaking me out. This 1 pound a week, no pounds a week shit has got to stop. I would expect that once I get closer to goal. Or at least below 200. With the amount of activity I am doing I should be down at least 15 more pounds. Yet I'll bet when I step my fat ass on the scale tomorrow it still says 224 for the 3rd fucking week in a row. Oh this girl gets angry on Thursday nights before weigh in. Guess I will be off to go sweat my ass off for a workout. I would probably be better off with some alli and a package of oops I crapped my pants.

Challenge - July - Labor Day 2007
I must just need to amp up my exercise or something. I do an hour of cardio everyday (and by every day I mean every day lol). I sweat like a pig when I am doing it. I ride my bike, I run, I walk. I just don't know why I keep hitting these plateaus. I expected to hit them just not 3 and 5 months in.

What weight for regular size clothing??
I am 224 right now and wear a size 18 and a few 16s (if they stretch). I am 5'6".

Challenge - July - Labor Day 2007
Seriously can those people who are losing 3-4 pounds per week regularly please post your exact diet and exercise plan. I am getting damned frustrated with the slowness of my weight loss. I will be weighing in tomorrow.

Feb Bandsters July Challenge
She is 6. The TF left her $3. She really likes dollar bills so I am sure she will be happy with what she has. She was very close to getting $1 and some batting cage tokens though seeing as it was 10:45 at night and the ATM only gives out $20s.

I had some of my Moms homemade spaghetti. It is more of a cross between Prego and Manwich. Very good just eating the meat and sauce with a fork and no noodles. But I did have some noodles.... Protein shake is going down great right now. I am loving the sugar free coconut syrup.

Feb Bandsters July Challenge
Oh just because I am shooting for 20 days does not mean I won't do more. The problem with the every day thing is that it is everyday lol. Even if I am sick, even if I feel like crap, even if I broke my leg I would be committing to that. After exercising sick last month I don't want to put myself through that again just to prove a point to myself and to not fail. Heck in May I did 28 days which was more than the 20 I was shooting for. Exercise has become a part of my life but I don't want to feel like a failure because I only did 30 days instead of 31. Carole awesome job on the skort. I tried on a few of my old things today actually. Some size 14 skirts...way too tight to wear but I did get them on (they were made of stretchy material) and on to my biggest accomplishment (besides yanking my DD's tooth out today, but I digress). I put on and zipped up my prom dress today. I did not have to pull or tug and it was a tiny bit too big thus leading me to believe that I am just slightly smaller than I was when I graduated high school. I forced my Mom to take pictures so I will have to show them to you all when I download them. Now my next task in formal wear is to get into my 9th grade farewell dance dress. I could get it on but I could not zip it up. I must admit it made my day and made me pissed about the cookie dough lol. So anyhow onto the tooth. DD showed me her loose tooth this morning which was a bit loose but not super loose. Well by 8pm it was super loose from hours of playing with it. While we were at the fireworks she kept crying and complaining and whining so finally I just told her to open her mouth and I yanked it out. My baby girl has officially lost her first tooth. Had I not been in public I might have cried. Now of course even though I have to work at 5am and it is midnight I have to wait for her to go to bed so the Fairy can visit. What is the going rate for a 1st tooth these days?

ready to give up
There is hope. You sound like you need a good solid fill and good restriction. Talk to you doctor about it when you go in.

February 2007 bandsters!
Okay guys we only have like 4 of us doing the July challenge. I know there are way more of than 4 bandsters for Feb 07 so I am going to post some details here. Zannie had a great idea to expand to our challenge even more to include categories that anyone can do. Here is part of her idea to help get us all moving. (The following is all in the words of ZANNIE) But I just wondering why more Feb'07 Bandster are not joining us in the exercise challenges. Surely it isn't our company!! So what might it be...? I've read a lot of posts from further-along-than-us Bandsters who say they really didn't start exercising until about 6-months post-op... Maybe that is it. Or not, who knows! But perhaps we/you (ehem) ought to post the challenge details on the main Feb page, as a sort of "see, it's not so bad"... And I really enjoy the individual levels, personalizing them even further this month was a good idea!! But maybe we/you (ehem, again) could expand the levels further... If you're not terribly offended already, I suggest the following modification: Intensity Level Beginner/Moderate/Intermediate/Advanced/Athletic 20 min ... 30 min ..... 45 min ..... 60 min ... +60min After all, if I have to push myself further, then so will YOU eventually -- and, more importantly, there are some people who have not yet begun this part of our journey. My road is longer than yours & I've got to step it up to reach the finish line, but it does take time to build endurance. The only difference between me & a slug when I got banded was that all day long I chased after 2 kids under 5! And now I'm actually working out half of the month -- thanks to your exercise challenges! Anyhow -- with just the 4 of us in this challenge (so far) and it only being 4 days in to the month... What do you think about making some changes? And then one of us telling the Feb'07 bunch about the challenge details to spur the rest of our group on? Sort of a reminder that it's not to late to join up for July! It doesn't really affect you, me, TravelGirl or SkinnyJeans at all beyond modifying some labels (except if you want to declare a new intensity level ), and maybe it would pull some newbies into our fold? Or at least get them thinking ahead to next month... Our 6-month Band anniversaries are in AUGUST!! (End of Zannie's message) I think she has a great idea and I hope some others will join up with us! Here is the exercise thread! http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f89/feb-bandsters-july-challenge-37331/
