I had gas pain for first 2 days. I was constantly walking every hr or so .now I am fine. its been a week.

thanks a lot. actually my husband was planning something shady.. so I wanted to go with him. but now he is quite sick!!!

I have not told anyone except my daughter. luckily I recovered fast so even at work I just told them I had been out of town for 1 week.
I live in India. There is not much awareness of this surgery here. and people will gossip.

I was sleeved on 23rd jan. My recovery is fast. I dont feel weak or tired..started office for few hrs.
following doc's orders about walking,having liquids.< /p>
My husband is travelling and I want to go with him.Its an 8 hr journey by road. It is advisable.

hi bella, I was so worried about weakness....but surprisingly I am fine...today is the 6th day...moving around...walking,..having fluids...sleep is a problem...i guess body is in shock...but I keep the music on...
I went to office twice yesterday for some time.
i live in India...we have domestic help here...so things are easy...and I have made up my mind to be strong anf fit soon.
I took motivation from my cousin who had blood cancer....she had so many chemos...now her tests are normal.a brave girl much younger than me.

I was quite anxious about my surgery. But it has gone well. I was in hospital for 4 days.Now back home.went to work also for sometime. I was on IV for 3 days and 3 nights so I recovered quickly.

even I found the second surgery far easy....and I am hopeful for good weight loss...just 5 days post op...having strained liquids.< /p>

yes its so important to follow doctor's orders about the diet...and walk a lot too..

hello...i was quite depressed and worried...but feeling better now....thanks to your posts.
my family is not keen on this surgery.but I too have knee pain cant stand or walk for long..
I was worried if it would work for me...but it will.Now i am positive.

it is a good decision. Even I am a bit anxious. my family is not supporting me..but I want to go for sleeve.
i have arthritis and need to loose weight badly.

sorry to read all this...but yes my husband is also not supportive....my date is 24th..and he has not once inquired about my tests etc...he shouts and gets angry all the time....
I have warned him that he better take care of me..its his duty...hes very selfish and cunning.

even I am curious about the weight loss...we loose some every week isnt it...more so in first 2 weeks.
My date is 24th...hoping to get it done soon...

did you feel very weak? how soon did you go to work? weight loss starts immediately?
Ny operation is on 24th...want to get it over soon.

hello, i am 59 and getting the band removed and sleeve done at the same time.
I guess we will have to work harder because of our age...But I am determined to make the sleeve work...best of luck.

thanks a lot.... but we all do loose weight isnt it....the first few kgs are important. then we can start walking and other exercises...

Hello, I am wondering how I will cope up with my arthritis once sleeve is done...how will I walk a lot without pain killers...
I know walking is very important after this operation..

oh no..drinking Water is hard? what do u drink then...i thought we had to sip water continously.... getting the sleeve on 24th jan.

CHEER UP.... it will be fine...its your decision and it will help you to be fit and healthy.
only see that you follow your doctor's instructions....specially about the diet.

Hi friends, I met the doc and my surgery is on 24th jan...He said 99.9 % he will do the revision from band to sleeve at one time.
I also met two patients who had the sleeve..both recovered very fast...but liquids were very important in the first stage.
So now I am confident of the operation...and I am going to try my best .....

thanks new...the band didnt work as i didnt exercise...or follow the docs instructions...i was over confident....but now I am determined to make the sleeve work...

i am one wek old sleeve patient. This morning suddenly I started geting severe pain while urinating.
it was scary. But now with few doses of liquid combiflam is has stopped.Thank God.I also slept deeply for 2 hrs.
Maybe rest was also needed?
