  1. I am a sleever. I have used HCG and lost 14 lbs. in 23 days. My Sis lost 17 in 23. Most people lose 1-2 pounds per day. The diet is based on a manuscript written by Dr. Simeon many years ago. It does work but you have to be very strict about following the program and also food combinations. I have to admit that I did cheat while on the program and that is why my weight loss was low but one of the best things about it is you don't feel hungry. Feel free to PM me if you want more info.

  2. I'm also three days post op and like you also miserable. I haven't come close to my daily Protein or liquid totals but what I have been doing is sipping, sipping, sipping at Water and my Isopure whenever I think about it even during the night. You don't want dehydration at this early stage. Just keep it simple for now. And my doctor cautioned against using straws as this adds air to your stomach with each sip. Good luck! My diet program can be found under http://www.kp.org/misg

  3. Sundar it really depends on how much weight you have to lose in the first place to lose 100 in 4 or 6 months. Normally men lose faster (must be the extra muscle they have). Those that have more weight to lose will lose what seems like large numbers but maybe we should all look at it like % excess weight needed to lose.

Usually around 6 to 8 months most of the sleevers will have lost approximately 50% of their excess body weight. So if you need to lose 300 vs 80 lbs the person needing to lose up to 300 should be able to lose their 150 lbs and 80 lb person 40.

But everyone is different and those that need to lose (inset your excess weight here) lbs some do it in a shorter or longer amount of time.

The body will do as it pleases. Treat it right and you will eventually reach your goal.

Thank you Autum Lily for your thoughtful response. Rootman thanks for sharing your experience! That is exactly what I was looking for. It doesn't mean I'll follow your program but its good to know. We are all in the same boat of figuring out what work for us. I'll figure out what 50% of my excess body weight is and go from there. And thanks to everyone for your input!

  4. 103.6 here, seems like impossible goal, but if someone had of told me 22lbs in 10 days a couple of weeks I would of laughed at them, so why not :thumbup1: go for the gold

I'm totoally with you. I want to lose 100 lbs in 4 months. Was just sleeved two days ago. Others have done it. Why can't I. I just need to find out how they did it. Anyone?

  5. I have read that some sleevers have been able to lose 100 lbs. in four months. And I want to be one of them!! Who's with me?

I'm newly sleeved (March 28, 2011) and if anyone out there has done this please share your success with the rest of it! I hear that the first two months are crucial and also when you lose the most weight!

So please weigh in and help me and other like me who want to reach 100 in 4!!!!

    Thank you!!!!

  6. I didnt realize there was a forum to the 100lb losers. This is my post from the stories forum.

Hello all, just past my 4 month anniversary since the surgery and am down 112lbs. I am only 22 pounds away from my initial goal. I have since decided to change that goal another 20 to 30 lbs since I am a lot further along than I thought I would be. At my last visit Dr. Myers said my weightloss has been remarkable. That felt good. I have started to get into a pattern of weightloss for a week or so, then level off for a week or so then weightloss again. During my level off periods is when I am fitting into different sizes. I wore a xxl dress shirt yesterday. In July I was wearing 5xl shirts. I no longer have to shop at the big and tall. My selection of clothes now have tripled. And lets not even get to all the energy I have. I mean tons, sometimes I feel restless and just need to burn energy. It is an amazing feeling and a good problem to have. The best thing is I am no longer using a cpap and taking meds any more. My family doctor took me off of them a few weeks ago. I have been on some of them since 1994!

  7. Phatcurves....

I really don't know what the "average" is. but I think the more you have to lose.. the "quicker" it is in the beginning to lose.

I NEVER dreamed I would lose 100 pounds so fast. I was actually scared that I would be one of those that the sleeve wouldn't "work" for... but follow your doctors rules, drink PLENTY of Water... exercise... and it will work!!

I am bad about the exercise.... I havn't found anything that I REALLY like... or will stick to... and if I had just made myself... I probably would have made "goal" in a year..... but I also had ALOT of weight to lose.. my highest was 373 pounds.... am now 180!!! And that was at a year. am 13 months out.. and feel like a whole new person!

I dreamed too.. what will I look like.. what size clothes will I be in? I am now in a size 12 JEANS!!! I havn't been that in 20-30 years!! I'm 51- and LOVIN' it!!!

Congrats on your date. and if you need any advice or a "pep" talk... message me... it CAN be done!!!
