So I am seriously talking stalls that last more than a week, not 2-4-5 days stalls! lets share experiences, I happen to hit a HUGE one now after my 3 month post op I Am currently having a 3 weeks stall! YUCK! Mine goes as follows: 1- I consume a lot of water more than 100 OZ a day 2- I eat reasonably 3- I find my capacity is getting bigger at 3 month post op ( but not hugely bigger) just more bites 4- I didnt exercise the first 2 weeks of this stall but happen to drop in the gym for some swimming the last week and also I was SO ACTIVE going to weddings and dancing and stuff like that. Now no matter what I DO and what I dont do, the scale is standing still:) Even when I exercise it is as if nothing happened. One day the scale went up 1.5 pounds and then the next day it is back to the normal stalling weight! SO How was urs?! how did u feel?! for me I am terrified that this is it! although deep inside I know I KNOW! there is more coming but it just crush ur positive energy and I AM Not giving in!! I AM CHOOSING TO PUSH PUSH PUSH! SO please share ur feelings:) I have about 41 lbs till goal and I already lost 39 since surgery:)

    I can so much relate to southernsleever, I WAS THE INVISIBLE GIRL! I hated this feeling, I was there talking and starting conversations but others were looking away at my friends ( who have it, the skinny body) although I consider this very shallow.. but it was so hurtful.

    Dear Liz, we are all so different, if you do more and more search about "Stalls" you will find that it is not always typical for ppl to stall just in the matter of the first month. Sometimes it happens in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th month and also sometimes it happens every month. Some ppl here keep stalling or lets call it standing still for 20 days or more then just starting losing in 10 days of the whole month. Look at ur ticker, u have come so far in a matter of 2 month and half! isnt that great!!, u are half way there. U WILL CONTINUE TO LOSE.. and it is so natural to be posting this but here is my reply to not only comfort u but to also make u believe, THIS is ur body adjusting to 40 LBS LOST! give it a break and let it get used to the new skinny u. U will be back to losing sooner than u imagine, but make sure beside exercising that u are really drinking ur water and not stressing too much.

  11. Congratulations on ur 50 Pounds lost!! Can you believe it? You have lost 50 pounds in matter of ONLY 2 month!! You shouldnt be beating urself up now, you should be so proud and ecstatic. I am so sure your doctor will tell you the same. You say you FEEL like u put on some pounds? there is a big difference between feeling and knowing. Did u weight in and find the scale going up? If so it may be cause of different factors, like water consuming ( when it goes low) U actually put on some water retain weight, but not FAT weight. Also if ur period is around thats a huge factor, I can keep fluctuating around this time for 20 days!! But if you just FEEL heavy then it is just a feeling, dont rely on it. You feel like you have made the wrong decision with the sleeve, I Will tell you that with bypass the outcome in a matter of 2 month will be the same or just few (5-7) pounds different, think of the Pros of having being sleeved that bypassed. ( Not that I am against bypass) But I must have chosen getting sleeved for a reason and thats why I will always encourage sleeve over bypass. I am sure your doctor will help you with some guidline for this period, but I am sure if u are following the simple rules ( protien first + at leat 64 OZ of water) that u wont need any guide lines, The stepper is a real nice form of exercising, I have always heard it from ( Jillian Michaels) that working up the biggest group muscels which is in ur legs and thigh is a killer burning calorie form of exercise, SO YAY for u keep it up and as soon as u get the time to do something else change this routine cause your body get used to it easily. ( Unfortunately ) You dont have to snack on meat/chicken .. you can chose a handful of nuts which is a good source of good fats ( cashews/peanut) Also yogurt ( if u are low carbing there are many brands with low carb ) I choose to have fun with my snacks, I can have a skinny SF caramel macchiato from starbucks and sometimes if I am out I just head to any supermarket and grab a quick corn flakes ( kelloges) cup. Also I tried quiche and I had a bite or 2 of it. When I was on the road. Now u said it " u need to drink More water" Make sure if u are out that u are stuffing ur car or bag with small bottles to be accountable of how much u are consuming, and dont let the day fly by without consuming at least the least amount recommended. This is really a big key when it comes to stalls or putting on water weight. I love love veggies and I see no problem eating them, sometimes when I am in hurry in the morning I grab a cucumber and cover it with some cottage or just low fat white cheese and run my errands. I consume peas, okra, eggplant, green beans and I have no problem with them. But I make sure I got my protein fair and square:) I am no expert when it comes to vitamins, I just take my B-complex and B12. also GNC hair, nail and skin formula Vitamin, and biotin. The only chew-able vitamins I take are the calcium ( i have them in chocolate falvor from VicatIv) Over all I think u are doing just great, and you are only 2 month out think of it when u are 4 month out and have nearly reached 70-80 pounds lost overall, how fabulous this would be? U will be sooo much closer to ur goal. SO as a summary: 1- UP UR WATER ( make it ur job) 2- Protein first then veggies then carbs!! 3- have good form of fats in ur snack they help with ur metabolism 4- Change ur working out routine whenever u can to trick ur body 5- BE PROUD AND HAPPY WI?TH UR RESULTS AND DONT STRESS:) Best of luck:)

Pasquini, I am sorry I just realized we posted at the same time, I like the simple way you explained what is really going on, but to be honest I was doing both but little more of cardio and Bob harper and Jillian Michael DVDS, but when at the gym I choose elliptical and treadmill Or stepper. I have been slacking off strength training, I always used them so little and had few sets. Bob Harper's DVD alternate strength with cardio but again to be fair I didnt do much strength training. I think I had a good calorie upping this week, also today I had 2 small bites of ruby Tuesday rib eye ( the lean part not the fatty one) and 2 tblspoon of mashed potatoes ( I Know bad choice) but I am trying to add carbs and I hate fruits and most of the veggies. I am definitely taking ur advice in my plan and I am waiting to see that change on the scale, I keep lifting my spirit up. PLUS the amazing boost am getting here makes me feel so skinny already lol A New day: I swear, If I lift up my arms u will see some bat wings and u will be scared lol, Thank u thank u ) Raine, The feast was so good thank u and thanks for calling me a success, it means a lot to me XOX I will be praying for all of us to reach our goal, we have gone through a lot .. lets be honest surgery is the scariest thing on earth and lets not forget the recovery time! Let me always know when u can have an idea of breaking this stalls. I am trying every single suggestion on here and I AM ALWAYS Appreciating them and never forgetting anyone who lend me a hand. Also it is always great when u hear about ppl who went through this. Not to enjoy the misery ofcourse but to know hope is still there.BLESS UR HEARTS XOX

I am blushing here, I read the comments on my phone while I was dining out and I couldnt handle it my cheeks kept getting red and redder lol "if thats a word lol" U spoiled me too well and believe me it wont come from anyone except pure, lovely and loving ppl!! THANK U SOOO MUCH!!! Believe me I thought about ur words today many times when I was taking shower and NO DOUBT I am still "Obese" damn u BMI chart and I SWEAR I am still chuuby when it comes to different parts, so the 33 pounds are there, the dress just rocked me not that I rocked it lol It covered me well!! and awwww u are too cute thank you and I will let u know when the number moves, I am pretty sure that my pants are little loose but I dont wanna hang on this hope cause sometimes they just get loose due to wearing them. I am sure u have worked ur sleeve so well, but I am answering ur post!! ppl shouldnt think twice when they see such an amazing results! U are a model now! WOW WOW!! WOw u have come so far, and exactly like coops u are just battling with tiny numbers .. congrats:) I am too sure too that u will never be back to the 350s which was nearly my starting weight when I was banded. I can never recall my 188 moments, I think they went back when I was 15 yrs old and that when I started to go to a dietician and started an atkins diet, and bam my weight started to get over 200s then suddenly after 2 failed enagagment, I hooped to the 300's SO U got a great point here, 188 was my oldest constant weight. I hope my body doesnt like it too much here cause I have 33 pounds to go, way too much than urs and Coops. Thank u for ur input .. and my best wishes to u
  20. Wow English teacher!! I am honored!! and actually a little scared now to have more mistakes lol ( kidding) I will do my best to keep it up here, My English used to be really good, but the lack of practice is my real issue. I am a self pay too!! and I nearly paid the same as u may be a little more cause I had my gallbladder removed, away from all of this I BELIEVE that u have an actual success story, mind u the last 15 pounds all ppl suffer with them. But u made good advantage of all the money u paid. It sure will taste the sweetest but u should be tasting its sweetness by now already, I am not complimenting u or just trying to encourage u but u have really done soooo great, and by the look at you, u are anything but away from overweight, so the benefit is reached. Oh I enjoyed it my feast sooo much well!! and Thankfully I havent gained lol. U know what I mean? lol, thats the beauty and glory of the sleeve. Now back to hard work or lets say, balanced work. I truly believe everytime I am harsh on myself the outcome isnt what I am really expecting. I w ill let you know when the stall is broken, I am giving it 10 good days for my body to adapt to its old routine. Best of luck dear and thank u so much )

    I agree with Myrori.. sometimes the sleeve is so weird, SOME DAYS not sometime all week for example. for me it happens around my period. But also everyone is different even when it comes to sliders, so bread is a slider for some ppl here it is not for me at all. Pasta is a slider for some it is not for me, I get full with a bite or may be 2 max of those things, but I think veggies are sliders for me I can actually consume eggplant and okra and it can take me a while to get stuffed from them SO I think may be just a may be Taco is a slider for ur sleeve. OR may be it was one of these days u can take in more. U also mentioned u threw up after ur vitamins, so may be the breakfast was gone with those too. So ur stomach was absolutely empty. Dont freak out and dont beat urself up for it, just move on and enjoy how it tasted. may be u should give tacos another try in a several weeks and see what will happen.

  24. LOOOL MISS DIVA!! I am so glad u are doing soooo fabulous after ur surgery!! And actually its my fault I didnt mention ramadan from the very first post! cause I actually thought it wasnt the reason, until Longerlife brought it up when she asked about why dont I visit my doctor lol .. Plus it never crossed my mind!! I would have saved everyone the trouble thinking about this dilemma plus honestly not everyone know about ramadan so I am glad U actually all knew about it! sometimes I feel like we live in box here. lol Ramdan last day was announced today! SO tomorrow is a 3 days feast WHICH I AM GOING TO ALLOW MYSELF to be a little easy on myself and have at least a cookie or 2 plus a family dinner. I DESERVE It! lol I have been so hard on myself this month mentally and food wise. I Cant wait for this week to go by and see some changes although I was at a funeral today and I was kinda complimented a lot about my weightloss. Although I was so sad and didnt feel happy about these compliements cause of the sadness shadow of losing the father of my best friend. OH I rambled so much!! thank u soooooo much for being there for me!! XO OH coops I am sure he'd love to meet such an amazing sleeve sucess like u too!! and I am sure he would have told u the same, I know the last few pounds are soooo stubborn for u and I am watching ur journey, BUT dont worry my mom who isnt sleeve and is actually 135-130 pounds struggled with the last 25 pounds for more than a year and half but she beated the hell out of them and she is older than u! SO I am sure by the end of this year u will reach although u already looked great in ur collage! "loved the dress" and aww!! Thank u about my English comment!! I am really always trying but sometimes I get lost trying to explain myself and thats why I rarely engage in a serious topic here, so I wont deliver the wrong info.. but u just gave me a boost XO THANKS UUUU ) U cracked me UP looool .. ofcourse I know u didnt mean it in anyway but funny one! WHICH is the same thing I told myslef, I was going so fine losing steady and slow and happy and then bam fasting, changes everything. I am so uplifted spiritually after ramdan and I think it is helping my mentality to get stronger and push harder. Also I wouldnt be feeling better without the support of all of u amazing people and my Mentor who I ALWAYS give her headache whenever I freak out "Diva" Oh and seattlesue U are soooo right my sleeping pattern just got messed up! I wonder how did u know!! LOL My next trip to US I planning Seattle btw!! Love to see it for real instead of Grey's anatomy lol Thank u X
