  1. I was just going to post a thread about this today. Been wondering how long after surgery to wait to apply bio oil. I want to start as soon as possible but i dont want to cause any irritation either!
  2. Irene, thank you so much for the excellent advice. You have me thinking i can actually do this!! The only thing i dont get is this At what speed does it take for your pulse to get from 110 to 120 bpm How can i check this? Sorry if this is the most obvious answer in the world
  3. Well done Brian. I love reading stories like this. Your lady sounds like a keeper! I hope things just get better and better for you! Keep on smiling!
  4. Hello all, Im gonna need your help. I bought a treadmill this week and today started walking. I managed 1km in 14 mins before i had to stop. I hate exercise. Does anyone have any tips about how to increase the amount i can do on the treadmill? Should i just aim for a little more everytime? Any advice appreciated!
  5. Jen, I just found this post. Although u emailed me, i had no idea how bad the situation was. Or of your previous health trouble. You are so strong and brave, I dont know what i would have done in your situation apart from crumble! I am soooo sorry it had to happen to you, i bet you feel that you are being tested just now. Although ive not had serious health problems, ive been tested in other areas: lost my parents at young age, horrific upbringing with adoptive auntie etc. so i can relate to how you must be feeling. This is just something else here to test what an amazing person you must be. You have proved it!! The only way is up. Hugs, here if you need me. xxx
  6. Congratulations!!! So happy for you. WELL DONE!!
  7. Amazing ladies, quick, easy to understand answers. Thank you so much! Im sure i had read somewhere to avoid taking things like tums/rennies/gavisgone. Am i making this up? Is it ok to take one of these to stop symptoms immediatly if they are bothering me?
  8. Before surgery I would get odd episodes of acid reflux. Not often and not too bothersome. Since surgery, i have been taking omeprozole, even with that i notice that i have slight acid at night times. If i miss a dose, i have serious discomfort. Can anyone explain in baby speak, why VSG can cause acid reflux? And will this be a permanent thing? Thanks a lot !
  9. Would just like to hear how different your post op diets were. Thanks
  10. Hey, you are not alone! I am 3 and a half weeks out and have been stalling since week 2. Im on roughly 500 cals a day, taking my vits but i suspect not enough water. From reading everything on here, i know it will pass. Its hard to shake those old feelings. It keeps crawling up on me "youre a failure, you will always be fat." All we can do is keep doing the good things and sit it out!
  11. Ladies, Im 3 weeks out, what do yo u think i should be getting? Just started mushies, probably getting about 500 a day, too much? Finding it hard to get the heavy protein in mushy form, drinking lots of think soups.
  12. Girls, i wish i had a costco or decent GNC but im in UAE and everything here is veeerrryyyy limited. Ordering online is difficult too as shipments take ages to get here, crazy delivery charges and strict customs, even my b12 sublingual tabs were stopped and i still have not got them! There is a nutrition shop, 2 hours away that has a decent selection so am going there at the weekend, fingers crossed they have the stuff i like!
  13. Hey, this is not good news but doesnt surprise me. Our choices are soooo limited here. What shop are you going to? Im finding it really hard to get calcium citrate here, have u managed?
  14. I live in UAE and its very hard to order anything from usa as customes is very strict, i need to find something here and choice is very limited. Thanks for input though.
  15. Hey all, Ive been taking all of my vits apart from Calcium citrate. The only reason is because i cant find it in liquid or chewable form anywhere! I found pills but they are huge and i would need to take them twice a day. My stomach is still too new for that. Sould i just take calcium carbonate?
  16. Ive always wondered why oprah didnt have surgery. She has tried everything and has been very open about her struggle, people would not assume that she she has just taken the easy way out, they know she has tried everything!!
  17. Ah penut butter, just worked it out! Having a bad day!
  18. Have any celebs actually had the sleeve? Wouldnt it be good if someone high profile could educate about it?
  19. I hope you are going to do something nice to celebrate? I would suggest a pedicure but you have a lovely colour on already!
  20. So as i have mentioned before getting a decent range of Protein is hard here. The only one i really like is the myoplex low carb ready to drink chocolate and my local store has stopped stocking it!. What Im wondering is if anyone has found a powder, that when mixed tastes similar to the myoplex shakes? Know its a weird request! Any input appreciated.
  21. Before i go and fork out the money for it, has anyone heard of this before? Would it be good Protein? http://uae.souq.com/LPP-Concentrated-Protein-16-fl-oz-Liquid-Money-Back-Guarantee/6719904-EN/?item_list=SOuq_adsearch&offset=58&total_hits=3353&s_preserve_sort=1&q=page%3D2%26temp_search_id%3D%26s_keyword%3Dprotein%26go%3D1%26s_country%3Duae%26s_large_search_cat_nav_id%3D1203 Thanks as always!
