  1. Daily mail is a British Newspaper. I am British. They do have a reputation for sensationalism, however, I couldn't read this without it bothering me. I guess we would need to know more before making assumtions.

  3. No nothing, I was just very tired, slept for a whole day! I wasn't sore at all during the flight. Bring your own cushion (i put lavender all over mine to relax and keep me calm) and make sure you have an aisle seat. I'm sure you will do fine! i
  4. I did a 4 hour then a 13 hour flight home! How mental was that? I got it approved by the doc first and had no history of clots, not on pill etc. Have you spoke to your doc about it? I had no trouble or pain at all. I sipped Water as much as I could, got up and walked every hour on the hour and did excercises in my seat. I also wore the extra long compression socksfor the entire journey. I didn't sleep a wink but got through 6 great movies! Your surgeon is the best person to speak to but what I did worked for me!
  5. Thanks everyone. The omeprazole seems to be working and I havnt been eating any spicy food and eating very slowly. I think I had a way too spicy curry one night, also been drinking alcohol which I rarely do. Just got a bit of a fright because I'm so far from home. Merry Christmas to you all!
  6. Thanks everyone, you are keeping me calm. Am trying everything you suggested!
  7. Thank you foxbins. No vomiting or different bowel colour\movements just slight churning pain when eating liquids fine just food causing funny feeling Have started omperazole & took gaviscone after light dinner which seemed to help, I think Will take your other advice as well, thanks for posting! As I've never had acid before I'm not sure if its just that or not!.
  8. Ok, beginning to freak out now. Could this be a stricture or a beozar? Searching this forum might not have been a good idea.....
  9. Thanks for quick reply Thomas. Glad someone is in same boat. Will try eating some salad too. Surely it couldn't be something serious when we are so far out with no previous problems? Please keep me updated!
  10. Never had any problems before, didn't need a ppi but the past few days when I'm eating I get a small pain. Not even pain, just a discomfort when eating. Any type of food. All I can describe is like a churning sensation kind of between breasts and stomach. I'm trying not to freak out beacuse I'm on holiday in thailand but the more I think about it the more worried I get! Has anyone else had anything similar. Could it be acid I've never had it before? Gas? Could I have caused a hole? Would appreciate any advice!
  11. Do you think it copuld be acid? I was lucky enough never to have suffered with acid. What does acid feel like? Does it start when you are actually eating? I will get checked out when home but at the moment in thailand, I'm not going to a doctor.
  12. I'm glad I found this. I'm currently on holiday at the min and everything I eat has been giving me slight, very slight pain and discomfort. Its almost like I can feel the food churning away inside. I'm hoping its just do with different foods here in thailand. Maybe a bit spicy. Trying not to worry but reading this post makes me feel a bit better.
  13. That's a great idea Irene. Thank you! Looking hot by the way!
  14. Well I'm just home. The dermatologist thinks its reaction to skimmed milk. Wants me to quit skimmed milk and Protein shakes (the rtd one i drink) because they are made from skimmed milk. He says it is quite common for females to have this reaction to skimmed milk. I am pretty gutted. I get a lot of my protein in from both of these. The rtd is the only Protein shake I like and I LOVE my milk. He said i can still drink full cream milk but I've not drank that since i was a child and I don't even like the taste of it. The minute he asked if i drank a lot of skimmed milk i was like "uuuggggg oooohhhh!!!!" I have a gut feeling this is the problem. I didnt drink it like i do now before i had surgery so it makes sense that this could be causing the bad skin. You know when you just get a feeling? Anyone have any thoughts?
  15. Thanks everyone, sound advice as always. I booked with dermatologist next week so will keep you all posted. I have no doubt that I don't drink enough water, I will start to get in as much as I can. Pretty sure the dermatologist will advise that too!
  16. Hi everyone, Just want to know if anyone else has developed bad skin since the sleeve? Mine is just driving me mad. Ive always had lovely skin, odd spot but on the whole, clear and smooth. Since surgery it has become, spotty, bumpy, the spots can even be sore. Any one else had this happen? It seems to be getting worse too. Should I see a dermatologist? Why cant we have it all? Fat with lots of hair and nice skin or thin and spotty and bald!!!!!
  17. Well I didn't have any hair loss until 5 months. Thought I was one of the lucky ones but its been falling out steadily since then. Scary when you see it in your hands. Only noticible to me and workable but def a LOT thinner. Praying that it doesn't get worse.
  18. Amazing. Well done, you look stunning. And I want that dress!!!
  19. As some of you know I live in Middle East and shipping pills can be hard. I have run out of sublingual b12 and the only thing i can find is tablets for swallowing. They are called Cobal Mecobalamin 500mcg. I need to take 3 tablets a day. Does anyone have any experience of them? Are these any good? Thanks in advance
  20. Thank you so much Kelly. A lovely reply. I am still scared of photos but I will try to bring myelf to upload some. What you said about being scared to feel successful could def be something for me to think about. Congrats to you too, I hope everything is still going smoothly. I <3 this forum.
  21. Thank you Foxbins for such a well put reply. You know I think you might be onto something about directing my emotions onto this instead of other things. I work abroad and have been increasingly homesick, maybe this is what my real problem is? I will try to write a list of all the positives this surgery has brought about. Maybe seeing it in print will help too. I appreciate your reply. Heartfelt thank you.
  22. I am doing amazingly well. I had a great recovery and the weight has come off every week. BUT i still constantly worry that i made a mistake. That i should have done it without an op. Without having most of my stomach, a pretty important organ, removed. Its got really bad recently to the point where I am losing sleep. What if I need I need my stomach back? What if it leads to other problems? What if I cant get pregnant when I want to. What if me and baby become sick because of it. What if i need another operation for something and I need to tell the doctors about getting VSG and they lecture. Did i do something stupid? I cant really explain how i am feeling apart from being scared. I am doing so well, wearing beautiful clothes again, feeling confident again but this is gnawing in the back of my mind. That i have made a mistake and its going to come back and haunt me. If anyone has any words of sense please help me out, I feel as if I am going crazy right now. Thanks GA
  23. God this is becoming boring. Anytime someone posts something positive about trish there is an almost instant reply by someone trying to discredit her.....
  24. I used to say, "no thanks, i dont want to go out tonight" mainly because i felt so fat and ugly and had no nice clothes. Now i never turn an invitation down and am never in!
  25. You look amazing Irene. Congrats! Cant wait to see after lipo pics! xxx
