  1. OH I know the feeling. I loved and love my cocktails. I havent drank any cocktails in a while but did have 2 glasses of wine last week and woo felt good. Im on occasion going to do what you are asking about. We need to make lifestyle changes and I dont see anything wrong on occasion. Dont over do it I cant bare the thought of throwing up from alcohol.

July 4th is huge at my house and i was sweating it but Im going to have 2 drinks in the night and thats it.

    good luck

  2. My first fill was 1.5 and my second was 1.0 and it was too much. Some people get 5 cc in a fill and for people like me that would have me at the ER. Slower is better. Being too tight is horrendous.

Thanks soo much and your before and after pics are awesome. My comp wont download pics for me.

  3. Ok so I had my first fill today. Not sure how Im suppose to feel but according to most people my fill must be small. Im only up to 2cc. Does this sound right? IDK <_<

No solids for 2 days. I wish I would have known I would have eaten a little more and not prepared Mojito chicken(no alcohol) Damm

    How is everyone doing?

  4. I swear I could have copied and pasted exactly what you said and feel.

I was banded on 4/20 and have already moved past all those mushy stages. Im watching my calories but have already had thin crust pizza, chicken breast w/fat free ricotta cheese. Im stuck on cheese sticks and chewing like a cow.

Tonight I had 2 yep 2 boca veggie burgers w/cheese. Not sure how good that was for me and I had a little salad w/tiny bit of oil & Vinegar.

Im having my Protein Shakes for Breakfast and inbetween. I do still sometimes feel hungry

  5. I just need to vent here a little, sorry....

I am really really struggling with this post-op liquid diet! I did a week and 1/2 of the liquid diet before the surgery, and now I am 4 days post-op and I don't know how I am supposed to make it another week and 1/2. I am on full liquids which means that I can have cream Soup and yogurt, ect. but I am still hungry! I can actually eat an entire can of soup and not feel full! Is that strange? The fact that I can eat like normal and not feel full really freaks me out. Most people have said that they feel full after just a little bit, but not me! I am so tired of the protien shakes and soup that I cant stand it anymore. I even ate a bowl of vegetarian chili today which I didn't even puree first. I ate the whole can of it and then was still hungry! I even tried some leftover crab dip that was almost like liquid when i heated it up, but I know that it's not what I should be eating right now. I am going to try to go back to only cream Soups and protien shakes tomorrow, but I just needed to talk about what a hard time I was having. My boyfriend says it's all mind over matter, and not to think about being hungry. Well after he said that to me last night, I had a major meltdown and started crying about how hard it is not to be able to eat solid food. I am ashamed that I am not being stronger about this. I thought I was ready to do this, ready to loose this weight. I almost wish that I was sick or nauesated so that I wouldn't want to eat. Not to mention that my period started and boy does that make me even more emotional and hungry! I am sorry to boo hoo on here about this, but it's my only outlet for people who may understand what I am going through right now. These last four days have been very hard and I can't wait to get past this point!

Also, can anyone tell me how much I should be eating anyway? I think I need to start measuring the soup before I put the entire can into the pot. I haven't a clue about what the max is. Any help would be great with this. Thanks all!

  6. I did the same thing I got my surgery on the 20th of April and have already eaten a thin crust slice of pizza not once but twice. Tonight for dinner I had a chicken breast w/sauce and fat free ricotta cheese. I was full but 3 hours later ready to snack. I needed to put myself in check.

I didnt do this surgery for nothing. So no more pizza at least for a while.

But I did feel the guilt and was reminded buy friends to get back on the train.

    Keep your chin up :)

  7. Hi

I was banded on the 20th and still feel like there are 2 feet under my rib cage. I am hungry though. I had a teaspoon of mash potatoes for Easter and still liquids.

Today I ventured and had a vanilla/cinamon carnation instant Breakfast and for lunch a plain greek yogurt.(which takes like sour cream) but it was a change.

Still have pains in the back and am not eating to the calories allotted. Tomorrow is another day.

    Good luck

  8. Hi Everyone,

I am 4 days Post-Op and having so many second thoughts! First, I am disgusted that I went into the hospital at 251 and 4 days later I am 253. I am starving and can't stop thinking about food. I know that the Lap Band is a tool and a majority of the work will be up to me and I am prepared. But it's discouraging that the scale is never in my favor - even now! I hear about people being able to walk around and even go back to work after a few days; I am aching and sore and can't imagine having to go back to work. WHy is ist that my experience is such a disaster????? UGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel the same way. I am in the same boat. You have gotten lots of good replies so Im going to keep following your blog.

    good luck

  9. I have been reading about the lap band and saving money. I am so confused about wether this will work for me. I'm 35 years old 5'9 and 235 (it's hurts to even type that:(. I work out about 3 days a week on cardio and have a trainer 2 days a week for resistance training. I have not lost a pound (I have actually gained about 10) in the 3 months with him. I didn't know I had to work so hard to stay fat!! I do have a lot of muscle and carry my weight well... People are shocked that I'm even over 200. My trainer says don't pay

Attention to the scale because I'm building lean muscle weight and he's totally against lap band. Has anyone had this situation where they already exercise a lot prior to lap band? Since I work out so much then it has to be nutrition so will the lap band be a benefit to me? I would love to lose 65 pounds but even if I lose less but don't have to fight so hard not to gain then I would consider it a success. I'm not getting any younger and how long can someone spend so much time working out? Any advice would be helpful.... I'm very nervous about this.

    Hello,

Finally someone on the same page as me. Im so nervous and I myself are a little over 5'8 246lbs. I have always been a slim person and in the last 11 years have been packing on the weight. This is the heaviest I have been even with 2 children. I feel people are looking at me saying why are you doing this your not fat. I have to be honest I hate exercising and love to eat. Im hoping this will be a new start to my life. Im sick of sitting on the couch and computer all the time. I want to be out w/my 9yrd before its to late like it was for my 18yr old. Im on my 2nd day of liquids and after reading some of the success stories I would love to lose all of my weight on the liquids. I want to go down to at least 150.
