Supposed to fly 3 days after 1st fill

**Update ** I called the doctor's office & they said that I should: 1) Keep the appt for the 4/26 (don't move it up or push it out). 2) Remind them when I come in that I'm going out of town. 3) They will only fill me a small amount. (I figured since it was my 1st fill) 4) Don't go crazy eating when I'm out of town. (I wasn't planning on that anyway!) 5) Come back in after I'm back in town. We will see what happens!

    Honesty

Most of my friends & family know...I've experienced both support & judgment but at the end of the day with EVERYTHING in life not just WLS...people shouldn't judge others since they haven't walked in their shoes. Unfortunately, people just can't help themselves...you do what is best for you! Good Luck!
  8. I woke up so hungry this morning that I thought I might get sick to my stomach, that used to happen when I was pregnant. My body still hasn't figured out what is going on with me. :)

  12. Congrats on being so successful! We are about the same age so it's positive reinforcement to see how well you've done & that overall it has been easy for you to make the lifestyle changes. I was just banded on 3/16 & so far so good but I have a long way to go. :)

    Hello

Same for me - yesterday was my 1st day back & I took it easy as well. It's been such a long journey for me to actually get to the surgery (like you said, "all the hoops") it's a little crazy to think that the band is actually in me! But of course I just have to breath & I get a little reminder of that hernia repair! haha
  16. I opted for lap band based on the same reasons as Jack: Adjustable , Repairable, Removable, Replaceable. It's what I felt most comfortable doing. In addition, my surgeon will no longer perform gastric bypass because he decided it was too risky & if he wouldn't recommend his friends & family to have gastric bypass he wouldn't perform the surgery any longer either.

    Hello

I was banded on 3-16-11 as well & I have to say that yesterday & today have been my best days. I also had hiatal hernia repair & I think that recovery has been way worse than the lapband recovery! Good luck to you!
