  1. I have the Werther's sugar free hard candies too. I have one every once in a while. I also like the sugar free Russel Stover candy. The peanut butter cups are really good. Reese's makes sugar free cups also, but Russel Stover's are better believe it or not! Kelly
  2. My husband LOVES the bonless chicken thighs!! Early out, I ate them baked because they were moister (is that a word???) than the breast meat and easier to swallow. I would not worry about the nutritional value too much early on becasue you will not be able to eat more than 2oz at a time!! At least I couldn't! Now, at 4 motnhs out, I eat grilled chicken breast. It is moist and doesn't give me issues. I still eat the thighs sometime tho! Kelly
  3. I am no dr, but it sounds like you are really swollen and maybe eating too much at one time or too fast. That is usually the reason for puking. If you are not doing this, then you need to tell your dr. You could have other problems that are making you puke. Call him!! Kelly
  4. I felt great too!! I was just sore and a little tired. Please remember that you did have major surgery tho and take it easy!!! I was walking 2 miles at 5 days out and got into trouble!! So just remember to take it easy and rest even though you do feel great! Kelly
  5. I met and surpassed my 4th of July and Labor day goals. This one has me worried tho! I am so close to goal and the closer I get the slower I lose!! I am going to set my weight as my goal weight and HOPE that it happens!! WISH ME LUCK! SN..............Starting Wt........Current.......Goal.......Lbs to Goal kellyw74..........280....................176..............165...............11 Kelly
  6. WOW!! Good job! Keep rockin that sleeve gurl!! Kelly
  7. I really hate greek yogurt, I tried and tried to like it because of the Protein, but yuk!! I am so excited!!!! I bought some yesterday Dannon Okios fruit on the bottom, it is DELISH!!! I think it is just sweet enough that it takes that DRY taste out of it. I got the strawberry and the blueberry kind. I am in love!! Kelly
  8. Not everyone can lose on low carb diets. I CAN NOT!! That is why I don't count them. When I low carb, I don't lose or I gain.!!! WEIRD! Stop weighing yourself everyday and stop counting all them carbs. Also, up your calories a bit if you are working out that much and with a trainer. Your body is probalby starving to death!! Drink your water and watch your salt! It will happen. Kelly
  9. Aww. Thanks! I did loose quite a bit pre-op 55lbs!! I have lost 48lbs since my surgery on May 9th. My loss has slowed down a lot in the past month or so. I feel that now that I am so close to my goal, it is getting A LOT harder to lose. I only have 13lbs to go and it seems like I have to work twice as hard to lose 1lb let alone 3-4lbs. I definatley can tell that I am still losing inches even when the scale doesn't move so much, so that keeps me motivated! I feel great and am sooo happy! Hugs, Kelly
  10. I was sleeved May 9th and much like you have not lost much in the past month! I think the closer we get to goal the harder it is for us. I have lost 103lbs, 55 lbs was pre-op and I feel great at 177lbs. However, I too would like to get to my goal of 165 lbs. or less. I don't lose anything for days and days! It is devistating when you do all the right stuff and NOTHING happens on the scale!! I believe that I still lose inches tho. Are you measuring yourself. I am not, but know because of the way my clothes fit. I have learned that I have to up my calories a bit when I exercise more or I WONT lose. So, I make sure to do that. I drink my water and take my supplements faithfully. I have to keep on keepin' on cuz we can't quit with the sleeve. I can't just say screw it and go eat a pizza!! LOL I believe it is just harder the smaller we get. I am in an 8 and think it just takes more diligents now! Don't give up, it WILL happen for us! Hugs, Kelly
  11. NO WAY!! They say you should NEVER eat them because most people over estimate their caloric burn and eat more than what they think they burned and just end up with more calories than what they should have been eating to begin with! Kelly
  12. If you want a good, mildly sweet wine get some White Zinfandel. That is what I drink or did drink prior to sleeve. Beringer is the best and Sutter Homes makes a good one too. Drink it cold. Kelly
  13. Good for you! That is great! Kelly
  14. I found myself STARVING all of the time after surgery too!! I was so discouraged and thought, WTH??? I wanted so badly for that to go away, but it didn't. Are you taking a PPI?? I was taking Nexium and heard others talking about how much better Prilosec worked for them. I bought some Prilosec OTC at Walmart and tried it for 14 days. In about 7, I noticed a HUGE difference in how hungry I was. It was like someone flipped a switch in my belly! I was so happy!! I got my PCP to write a script and now I take it twice a day. I still get hungry, but not all damn day!! If you are not on something, make sure to tell your Dr. that you need to be. It will help. Also, don't be too hard on yourself about the loss, it will happen. YOu have to give your body a chance to heal and once you start eating, you will lose. Those liquid calories are not nice!! Kelly
  15. That is so great!! CONGRATS!! Kelly
  16. hamburger and pot roast were very easy for me to eat when i was able to eat meat at 4 weeks out. steak sat a little heavy until about week 7. i had no restrictions on anything at each food stage, it was as tolerated. kelly
  17. YUP! I was also told no raw celery or coconut EVER!!! But, not pumpkin seeds. I eat them all of the time. I was not supposed to have seeds/nuts for 3 months tho. Maybe that is why. Kelly
  18. I too often wonder what happens when you get there?? I am soooo close to my goal as well and it scares me! I don't know how to maintain and I am worried that something BAD will happen!!! I have lost huge amounts of weight before, but never have got to my goal weight and therefore, have never had to maintiain my weight. I DON"T KNOW HOW TO DO THAT!! So, I guess I will be thinking about how to do it! My weight has always been an issue since I was 9 and I don't know that I will ever stop thinking about it! Kelly
  19. I was not allowed salad until 4 months post op. I think I started eating most fruit about month 3, but no skins. Kelly
  20. I am so sorry! People are so rude and some should be shot! Kelly
  21. I have been drinking with a straw since week 4, not a big deal!! I have one of those BIG hard, plastic starbucks cups with a lid and straw. I keep er' filled with ice, Water and Mio!! Hope this helps! Kelly
  22. I used PB2 on full liquids and it was fine. I now use Simply Jif. It has less sodium and sugar. Kelly
  23. Good job!! You look AWESOME!! Kelly
  24. Those gas pains are NO JOKE!! That was the only pain I had and it lasted for about 3-4 days. Glad you are doing well!! Kelly
  25. It took me about 2 1/2 months or so to even get up to 500 calories a day. Just do your best and focus on staying hydrated, that is the most important. I am 4 months out now and most days, still only get 700-900 calories. It is hard to eat that much. You will be fine. Kelly
