  1. Thank you ladies! I am def glad to hear that!

LR6909: You are halfway there girl!! Congrats! Has your journey been harder or about the same as you thought it would be.

Nikkeystar: Same question to you, as someone who has almost reached their goal (CONGRATS!! I cant imagine how great you feel for accomplishing that) was it harder, easier, or about the same?

It hasn't been easy but I would do all over again. I haven't been sick or anything like that but sometimes I still forget to eat and take my Vitamins but I'm working on it and getting better. I can't believe that I'm almost at goal and I'm finally loving what I see when I look in the mirror.

  2. We all have them, and yes they can be infuriating. Currently I have been on an extended slow losing run for 6 weeks. Yes I get down, want to say to heck with it and just eat whatever and sometimes do. So here are some things that help my sanity. :-) feel free to add yours.

Remember your body is in shock and completely new territory and is adjusting. This requires it to go against most of it's normal processes. So remember that at your caloric intake it can not last, it will eventually break the set points and natural ability to conserve resources. And you will lose.

You made this choice for the remainder of your life, while we all want to wake up tomorrow at our sexiest weight and physically be able to do anything we want, it is a process and that will come. We are in for the long term benefits. Enjoy the ones that are already here and set some smaller goals so all progress is celebrated!

Tied to that one above, remember sexy is a state of mind as well as physical

While I'll admit, what straight man doesn't like Angelina Jolie?

A woman that is confident in her body and carries herself with passion and determination is crazy alluring!!!

We all have that passion and determination by the very choice we have made, I am a sexy man now *confident smile* and it is only gonna get better! Woot, *cue "hey Micky he's so fine" with a remake inserting Pasquini in place of micky*

Stay focus on your eating plan. It will work, make sure you are writing everything down!!!!! Those carbs add up quick. I use daily burn on my iPhone the free version. This is huge!!!

When the scale isn't cooperating, try to notice how your clothes are fitting, are they loser. Wile I have only lost 6lbs in 6 weeks, I am wearing some med shirts and can't wear the xl's I bought 6 weeks ago.

Tape measures are helpful here, measure!

Ladies remember you have your lovely hormones that fight you like Apollo Creed in the first rocky movie! They do not work in your favor. But they do make you captivating to us men, well 3/4's of the time ;-).

Remember in rocky 2 Apollo got his a$$ kicked! Your gonna beat those pesky hormone into submission.

    All loss is progress!

All stable weight is progress! It means your not gaining!

As we lose we are becoming the total package! All those years thinking my personality is so much better than hers/his. Well, we still have that and are on our way to the healthy body to match.

And as someone else on here says

Nothing Tastes As Good As Thin!!!

Stay focused enjoy the ride and make it happen.

    Love you beautiful people!

    Pasquini

And yes I am single ;-)

Thank you very much for this post, everyonce in a while we all need a nudge to help us to refocus and enjoy the little things that come along with losing weight.

  3. Hey AA Sisters. I am a very curvy woman and I am scared that I am gonna lose some of my voluptuousness. LOL! Truth is though, if I have to lose some curves to lose 85 pounds, I'm OK with that too.

    Peace&Love

I've lost 142 pounds and my curves are still there. In the beginning I hated them but now I finally like how I look. Curves and all :D

  4. Down 110lbs! 30lbs to goal!

In the picture where I'm wearing the pink, I'm down 100lbs. The other picture is me down 110lbs. What's weird is that I was so fearful that this wouldn't work for me. I do have some issues that I deal with due to the surgery, BUT I do not regret it at all!

    You look great and congratulations!!!!!!

  5. I have always hated taking pictures so I dont have too many before pictures. I was looking through my husbands phone and ran across this picture from December 2010 which was a few weeks before my surgery so I has to do a before and the after photo was taken about 3 weeks ago. Its weird cause every one says how skinny I am and I dont see it. I know that I have lost weight since the scale and clothes tell me. I can only see the difference when I look at old photos and new photos of myself. I am only 2 pound from goal so I will have to post new pictures when that day comes.

You look great and I love you hair cut!

  6. So here I am almost 1 year out from surgery and as of last Friday I weigh 207 pounds, that makes a total of 137 pounds gone since the day of surgery dance.gif. My surgery was Sept 2 and my birthday is August 31st, so I have a lot to Celebrate :-). I'm making this post a little early because I'm going to be off for 13 days and I won't have access to a computer, hopefully when I come back I'll have pictures since I haven't uploaded any in awhile. This hasn't been easy by a long shot and for people that think it is I wish I could make them understand that it isn't. I've heard or had people comment and say "oh you took the easy way out", when they say that I just yell at them or better still I want them to try to remember to eat, take your Vitamins, get your Protein in, exercise, work and still live your life. After a couple of days I'm sure they would change their minds. I never really could picture myself at 200 pounds and now that I'm almost smaller than that it kind of freaks me out, I don't want to get to small. In the beginning I wanted to get down to about 160-165 now I think that if I get down to 180-185 I'll be happy. I know that it really is up to my body but I'm crossing my fingers and toes that I'll stop around then, lol My next goal is to get under 200 pounds, which I'm so close to. For those of you out there who are just starting this journey it's not easy but it is so worth it. Take the dive you'll be so happy that you did biggrin2.gif
