  2. before you know it this will all be a distant memory...its funny just yesterday I was thinking wow only 2 weeks ago, I still had pain...now i have none. I feel 100% better. I can drink almost normal again..not quite, but MUCH better. you will make it through. NO WORRIES
  3. That truly made me laugh.. Thanks
  4. Prior to this week I wasn't really tracking my carbs...since Friday, I have made an effort to keep them below 40g. I cant exercise until 6 wks, so that is next week. I am so afraid to up my calories omg but I may try. Do you guys agree that I should incorporate Snacks in between to increase the calories, because i am pretty full with my meals now. I know this is a lot of experimentation and trial and error I just dont want to fail
  5. U look great!! Congrats
  6. This past monday, i was 5 weeks out....to me I have been losing slowly...i was 19 lbs down since surgery, 63 total including pre-op. Yesterday I weighed myself, and the scale went up .6 then today another .4 for a full pound I just finished my period so I was expecting it to go down more also this morning I had a BM, so when the scale went up i was mortified I have been keeping my caloried under 800 my Water has been at least at 72ozs my Proteins over 70 i am really getting frustrated. my doc said 3 meals a day, but my friend who was sleeved in August says i should be eating 5-6 times a day...as I read most of you say on here...do you think I should call my nutritionist, or just wait it out a few days??? Bear in mind I started solids this past weekend, do you think that is it??? ughhhh

  11. Pain...no real nausea past day 2 or 3
  12. I am 5 weeks post op today and no regrets AT ALL...By the grace of God...I have had no issues. Like everyone said in the beginning you're like what did I do...but other than that i am fine. I too am a side/stomach sleeper and it was hard for me for about 2-3 weeks but now i am back to normal. I still dont strain during #2... and my doc/nutritionist say no bread/rice for six mos, and I am fine with that
  13. Started tracking using Fatsecret on my blackberry. Love it
  14. omg yesterday was my first "outing" since the sleeve...a baby shower in the day and a party at night.....i got a lot of comments...it was overwhelming I have had a lot of positive comments...i think my insecurity about keeping my surgery a secret from most, has me wondering if ppl are speculating. One of my male friends asked me "Sam, when was the last time I saw you" to which i replied two months ago at the party a girl i knew came up to me and said "Hey skinny" which is hilarious cuz i am 280 lbs smh this guy I know told me I am losing too much weight now My FB is flooded with comments from ppl telling me i look great, this is just the beginning and so far I LOVE IT
  15. good going! Keep up the great work!
  16. Thanks guys! Gayle i know its bad....i have been chewing gum...esp because I cant drink for half and hr after I eat, and at work it can be gross esp if I had tuna if you know what i mean
  17. 5 weeks out, first day of solid foods.... it was my friend's baby shower. food, cupcakes, and candy galore. Open bar. I did pretty well with my food. i didnt drink any liquor, bypassed the cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries...no bread, potato salad but she had a candy bar...and i couldn't pass on the blow pops sour apple blow pops are my fave....i took two. I had one at the shower. The other is in my bag I don't feel bad though....it was 60 cals and I tracked it. Still under my cals and carbs. Still focused Life after WLS on the up side I got so many positive comments on how good i looked
  18. i wasnt taking them the first week either, but my doc told me i could get ulcers if i dont take them.
  19. NtvTxn Thanks for the words of wisdom! I will definitely keep it in mind
  20. Congrats on your success! Would you mind sharing what your daily menu looks like? Thanks
  21. awww i totally feel your frustration. I too expected to lose 25-30 lbs in the first month and i only lost 16. My friends are like 16 lbs in a month is good...but i feel like i risked my life, and went through a lot to convince my mom I needed to do this. I haven't cheated...it's still the beginning. I want to give it a fair chance. But I don't want to feel like l did surgery only to lose the same amount of weight I couldve lost on my own...but still i keep trucking on. Good Luck Hip! I am sure it'll all work out. Stay focused!
  22. hey Kids no problem!! That's what we're here for i agree on the tiredness part....the ppl who dont know swear I am pregnant between that and not drinking....i am having a BLAST....it'll be hilarious when the figure it out.
  23. i just looked this up also and boy do I wanna make it
