Pre-surgery anxiety, jitters normal?!?!?
Happy to help!!! This is one of, if not THE most important decisions you will make in your life. Also surgery is no small undertaking...it involves risk, so to be cavalier and nonchalant would be totally abnormal. I thank God everyday that I went in and came out OK, and pray it continues to be that way. Good luck when your day comes! If you look back and look at some of my current posts, you will see that I was/am an emotional wreck. on my last day at work before the pre-op diet my asst bought me red velvet cupcakes and i broke down bawling at work....its totally normal.

Pre-surgery anxiety, jitters normal?!?!?
Totally normal...i broke down crying, I second guessed my decision...i was nervous right up until the oxygen mask went over my nose i was telling my bff on Wednesday that sometimes I am just sitting down and I cant believe I actually did it. Just make sure you've researched, your doctor, and Pray. You'll be fine!

On my 3rd week stall... so Disappointed :(
I am with applesaucy...try doubling up on your scoops until you can increase your intake. That'll help you keep your protein and calories up.

What was your turning point?
It's funny there are people from all different circumstances and walks of life on this website. Some people whose highest weight isnt even as high as I am with 64 lbs lost and people who are 200lbs or more above where I am now. I also think it's interesting that there are people with no comorbities, tons of comorbidities, ppl who converted from sleeve to VSG etc so my question is what made you choose this, ultimately??? I can say that at 33 and weighing 343 lbs, I had always been relatively healthy, even though I'd been overweight my entire life. And even though I was always big, I was comfortable at 250lbs...still pretty active etc. But i think 350 was my fear...the closer I got to that, the more I realized I had to put a stop to this. Also some weight-related illness in family and the death of a family friend was a wake up call. I remember my aunt's ex boyfriend who was always overweight died of a heart attack last year, and she called me and begged me to lose weight. She told me to do what ever was necessary...and the irony is we were both named Sam. I remember i ended the conversation in tears, and thats when i resolved that no matter how afraid I was that I was more afraid to do nothing and die.

denied.......feel like I got gut punched
someone posted an appeal letter on here before...I think I saved it on my home computer in case I needed it. Or try searching appeal and see what comes up. I believe it was in the Insurance forum. Good luck!

how did ur attitude change after your weightloss
One thing that I will say...I have had this conversation with a male friend of mine, and he always claimed that weight is irrelevent as long as you're confident. And I told him i disagree...I have always exuded confidence, but no matter how confident you are in yourself, if society doesn't reflect that, you start to second guess and wonder how much of a role your weight plays in things. I have always wondered what role my weight plays in career advancement, and relationships etc...i just hope that losing weight means my inside will match my outside in these aspects

On my 3rd week stall... so Disappointed :(
I think you're doing great....don't let anyone pressure u. I have been moaning and groaning as well about my stall...i guess they really are part of the process. I also agree with applesaucy...i dont really monitor my fats...only Proteins and carbs...for the most part if your carbs and proteins are in line, then your fats will fall in line also. I upped my Water yesterday to over 80 ozs and my proteins were over 80 and my carbs at 30...my calories yesterday were about 750. my stall lasted about a week and a half...
-
The scale moved!!
I lost almost two lbs between yesterday and today. I guess the stall has been broken yesterday i kept my carbs low and upped my Water to 88 ozs...gonna keep that up and see what happens

how did ur attitude change after your weightloss
I have always been extremely confident, maybe borderline arrogant....I can definitely see my weight loss getting to my head....but with that being said, I am a nice person, a trustworthy and loyal friend, and I dont see that changing. However my divaliciousness will be on the rise

Fast Losers
Those of you who have averaged 15-20 lbs or more a month what does your average day look like in terms of your food intake (Protein, carbs, cals, water) Exercise I know everyone varies, but I am just wondering if there is a common denominator I am desperate here...work with the crazy lady
-
Why must I finish it? WHY????
this is one of the reasons I haven't cooked yet, because I live alone and I don't want to waste food. But with the sodium content in pre-packaged foods I think I need to start
