  1. thanks guys! i think the shoulder pain is gas....i have been using a heating pad on my back and shoulders...that does give some relief....tea and hot broth also

  3. I had my surgery on Monday...and although i do feel better each day...after reading everyone's stories on here i am wondering whats wrong with me. This was my first major surgery but i still feel sore, and sleeping on my back is KILLING me. I am a side/stomach sleeper...getting out the bed is a chore. I just wanna feel normal

  7. reading what others have said I expected my pain to be less...but my back hurts, and my stomach muscles are sore...i was bigger so that may be it....or it could be because they simultaneously repaired a hernia. i am not dying but i am uncomfortable. the gas is/was the worst as well. But a heating pad and walking and tea is helping 3 days out and I cant bend over...
  8. welcome back girl! I took 3 weeks off and i am happy i did...i am only 3 days post op and wondering when i am gonna feel normal again lol
  9. I am home...got home yesterday. The gas is moving sorry for the TMI...my mom is here taking care of me. God bless tea and this heating pad. Each day does get better but i cant wait to be walking normal again...but i am thankful for how things have gone so far!
  10. Thanks so much for the prayers guys. Everything went well. I had my leak test so I'm finally drinking water glorious water. I'm sore and very gassy. You guys sure weren't lying about the gas. I should be going home tomorrow. I have a drain which the nurse said I may be wearing home. Ok guys. I'm going back to bed. TTYL
  11. Today is the day I finally get sleeved! My surgery is at 3pm. I slept more that I thought I would, but I am feeling nervous. I just ask you guys to pray for me! And I will try to get on ASAP.
  12. my mom has come around too...my dad always supports me but my mom wasnt keen on it at all. Now she is showing me clothes I will be hopefully able to wear this summer. It makes u feel a lot better when mom supports u. I am going in on Monday. Good Luck to you!

  15. Since I last posted in this topic my surgery was moved to 4/11. Been doing the pre-op diet since 3/28
  16. I didnt have one...I had an EKG, Chest Xray, Esophagram, and a venous Duplex in addition to the nutritionist and Psych eval and blood work
  17. i took 3 weeks off...surgery will be Monday
