  1. the scale I have is from my weight watchers days. Its a food scale which has a removable measuring cup as well.
  2. I know how to use a scale. I just wanted to verify that it isnt over 4 ozs either way in my understanding your stomach is 4 ozs in volume no??? The only reason I weighed it is because I didnt want to puree more than necessary.
  3. Thanks Virginia! Same to you. We'll do great
  4. this is hilarious because my doc told me I should be able to eat 4oz of food...which for the most part I can. i am also on mushies which i am sure factors into it, but I can finish 4 oz with no problem....and was wondering if I should be eating 4 ozs weight wise or volume wise and whether they were one in the same. One day last week I weighed a piece of salmon my mom cooked...because it was solid, and then I pureed it and put it in the 4 oz container and it fit.. All I know is I am eating WAYYYYYYY less that I have ever eaten and I hope this works
  5. Tomorrow is my first day back after surgery...my 3 weeks flew by I am actually ready to go back. I miss the camaraderie at work...and was starting to get a little cabin fever. I have my Breakfast and lunch portioned out, and my bottles of Water....kinda concerned about my eating regimen at work but I am sure it'll be fine. Thanks for keeping me company during the days.
  6. i had the exact same thing and I chalked it up to what Virginia said...we arent walking or sitting normally yet as we are still healing.
  7. i had to do it for GHI...at that time I asked the doc and she told me they just want to see commitment and consistency. I took it as an opportunity to lose weight because I was advised by my friends who have been there to lose as much weight as possible before...
  8. that sucks....i was told no pasta for 3 mos....
  9. it is still hard for me to get in 64 ozs haven't done it yet.....i am just now starting to drink a little quicker but not as fast as I used to...i am hoping that by next week I can. Yesterday was my highest and that was about 56 ozs

  13. i bought one of those fiber powders from GNC (comparable to benefiber) and I mix it with my protein shakes...has helped A LOT
  14. Are u on any meds?? My friend had surgery last year and he had minor complications because he was on Blood Pressure meds before surgery and they didnt reduce the dosage, so the diuretics were still at the high pre-op level, and he was severely dehydrated...
  15. totally! I was sleeved on 4/11 and it does get better each day!
  16. i wasnt advised to do so...maybe that will change...
  17. i was told that I should be able to eat 4oz and it seems to be right on point...i stick to 3 meals of 4 ozs apiece
  18. I will definitely keep you in my prayers...keep a positive outlook..I had a lump a few years ago and it turned out to be benign (non cancerous). Hope everything turns out well!
