Who's sleeving in July?
Hey all, I too was sleeved in July... 3rd is my date... for those of you who were sleeved on the 16th that is my wedding anniversary... and indeed a special day for all!! I seem to be doing ok, lost 30lb so far and I am pleased with that... it isn't consistent though, some weeks nothing others 3lb... that can be a little frustrating but at least it is coming off!! I have NEVER lost this much in 9 weeks before so that is a bonus and keeps me going! I've started to receive nice comments, 'Oh you're looking good' and my favourite ' Bloody hell Coops, how much weight have you lost?!!' ...lol Hope everyone is doing well and would love to hear your stories and any advice!

inconsistent weight loss ... anyone else? (again)
Hiya Number50, I was in a simialr position to you at your stage, I am only 9 weeks post op now and since the initial 2 1/2 weeks lose it has been really up and down and slow. I try to drink plenty of Water as well as cups of tea and decaf coffee... not sure how the liquid thing works! keep going and I would imagine that you will start to lose again very soon...

monthly cycles....
Hello all, so, is it normal for your cycle to go awol after surgery; I am nine weeks out and only had one period and now I am about 3 weeks overdue, if not more! (without checking) I have some symptoms, they last a day or two and then go away... another question, could this effect my weight loss as it is inconsistent??? thanks...

inconsistent weight loss ... anyone else? (again)
Hello all... well on the 'offical' weigh day today (I do weigh more through the week, but I have chosen Sat as my offical day!!) and I am down a pound... I know it is better than nothing, but after so little food I feel a little bit disappointed... but it is better than no movement at all! I think I am going to have to up the old exercise this week and see what happens next week!! Good luck to all us inconsisitent losers...lol xx

4 Months Post Op
Well Done Goodlife!! I am 9 weeks post op now and I think I have the same pattern of losing 2 weeks out of the month, glad to see that I am in good company... Thanks for putting your stats our, you have made me realise that I am not doing it properly... you maybe wondering how on earth I can get it wrong, but I forgot to include TWO legs and TWO arms, so I am going to have to add mine up ... and of course that will mean that I have lost more inches that I orginally thought.... YEY and THANK YOU!! x

inconsistent weight loss ... anyone else? (again)
thanks for your input everyone, it does help to know that I am not alone, and it is encouraging rather than discouraging to hear other people's point of view... and for fear of sounding cheesy (low carbs!!) I don't feel so alone now... big hugs x

another stupid question, but hey.... does any liquids include tea and coffee - skimmed milk and no sugar??? :thumbup1:- inconsistent weight loss ... anyone else? (again)
Hello fellow sleevers... Just thought I would put this out there to see if any one has been in the same or similar position... I am nearly 9 weeks post op and I feel great. The healing process for me was ok and I had no issues at all!! My weight loss is good and I am not complaining (honest) in fact, I can honestly say that I have never lost 29lb in 9 weeks before, in my life, EVER!!! However, my weight loss is sooooo inconsistent and I am really frustrated by this, I had a stall from 2 1/2 weeks to around week 5 and then I lost a few pounds and then nothing again...!!!! Has anyone else experienced this; I was sorta hoping that I would lose a steady amount weekly (that sounds a little self assured and it isn't meant to be) as this is what I was lead to believe by my surgeon! x NB I posted this in the wrong place the first time, so sorry if you have read this twice...lol Any words of wisdom or advise would be greatly received... xx- frustrated with inconsistent weight loss... anyone else?
i think i put this in the wrong place...lol... should have been in the post op not the diet section!- frustrated with inconsistent weight loss... anyone else?
Hey Donna, pants innit... horrible feeling but i suppose it is part and parcel of it... i did try shaking things up a little and it didn't really make a huge difference, still i suppose as long as it doesn't go up too much, remember that we retain water on a daily basis... still frustrating. Patience has never been my strongest characteristic... x- frustrated with inconsistent weight loss... anyone else?

OMG... i have just realised that I only have 10 before i hit onderland.... full steam ahead baby!!!- I'm on the Road to Onederland!! Who's with me?
Hey Diva, I am defo coming with you to onderland... it is gonna be a hell of a ride, so hold on to your hat lady, we're coming through...lol! x- You're dream outfit
Hey, Great question.... I long to wear a dress that is fitted with a pair of sexy shoes that I can actually walk in!! I think the colour would have to be red! The other thing I long to look good in is a nice pair of jeans, complimented with a vest top... yes showing my arms... oh how I dream ...lol- Reassurance Needed
Hiya, I too paid for my sleeve and although it will leave us a little tight each month, it is worth it already and I am only 8 weeks out... Hang on in there and go for it, it will be worth it!! Good luck for the 1st!- (some pics)proof you have to lift weights!
Nikki, thanks for answering my questions... I've been dreading the batwing thing... I don't go to a gym and can't really afford it, but I would buy free weights at home to use. Would you say that lower weights and higher reps is the way to get good results... another thing ... how heavy are you free weights? I was told to use 2lb ones and do a lot of reps... any advise as you are looking amazing!! thanks- New territory!!!!!!
Well Done Christie... you are doing us proud!! x- NSV: new clothes!
Hey, that is an amazing result for you and an inspiration for a relative newbie! Although, my scales isn't moving rapidly (slow but steady wins the race is my new mantra; along with little acorns turn into big oak trees!!) I too had a recent NSV! Many years ago I bought a pair of sizee 20 (UK) jeans from the petite section - well I am only 5' 2" - and since that day I have never worn them out... in fact they did not do up at the button, and I kept them with the old saying 'one day they'll fit'! That day has arrived...YEY!! I can not only do them up, but they are comfortable and I can defo wear them in public... I am sooooo chuffed with myself it is unreal. I also had to recyle two pairs of jeans that were way to big and my 'snug' jeans are now loose... Doesn't it feel great!! I also know what you mean about the self confidence thing... I have a small group of friends that I share all my success with, weight, clothes, food, moods etc... but I recently went to work (not been there since my op due to it being out summer hols) and I purposely work the biggest hoodie I had to cover up... strange isn't it? Perhaps it is because I haven't told them about my sleeve, or that I don't want my weight to be the focus of my work... Dunno... gonna have to suss that one out myself!! Lets hope that this milestone continue 'til goal! - frustrated with inconsistent weight loss... anyone else?
