Sunshine: try Lactaid it is a lactose free milk, maybe that will help. Also go to your favorite Chinese restaurant and get their wonton, egg drop or whatever Soup you like. That way you can have something spicy/salty instead of sweet all the time. Sorry you're having a rough time of it right now. I'm sure it will all get better very soon. Stay strong! :-)

Congrats on your surgery!!! What my sister and I did was make a HUGE pot of chicken soup [without the noodles]. We seasoned it like you normally do and then strained the broth off. I had about 6-8 16oz containers that I froze. These have been a life saver!!! I'm not tired of the pre op diet yet [just my 4th day of 14 days] but it does help to break up the sweet taste with a little something spicy!! See if you can stomach making your favorite soup so at least you'll get something that you really like in your new little belly!! Hope this helps! Take care!

Congrats on your surgery. Just do what the doctor tells you to do and I'm sure everything will be fine. My date is 5/13. Today is my 2nd day of my 14 liquid diet. Keep us posted on your progress.

I'm on the 2nd day of my 2 week liquid diet. So far so good. I did make some homemade chicken Soup 2 weeks ago, strained the broth off and froze it. I drank a cup yesterday and a cup today and it tasted like HEAVEN!!! Good luck to all of us who are going thru this!
