I drink the Premier Protein shakes. They have 30 grams of protein and I buy them in bulk from Sam's. This works for me. I'm not much of a breakfast person either but I want to make sure I get in all my protein each and every day. Hope this helps.

The best thing I ever bought was a candle warmer [or you can use a coffee cup warmer]. I got mine from Michael's for $3.99. I even invested in some really cute little plates [$1.49] and a tea cup with the strainer and lid [$4.99]. When I microwave my breakfast/lunch/dinner I turn on my mini hot plate and then put my coffee cup or little plate on it and it stays nice and toasty until I finish eating, which everyone knows takes quite a while when you're first sleeved!! I'm at work right now with my chicken and mixed veggies on a pretty little pink plate and everything is still bubbling hot!!! Just thought I'd share!!! Toodles!!!

Nothing super special. I live in Texas and we have alot of Chinese stores here. I went to one and bought me a really cute tea cup with a lid and strainer for $4.99, and 2 small plates, almost the size of salad plates for $3.99 each. The bottom part fits perfectly onto the warming part of the candle warmer and it keeps my food nice and hot. Just something really cute that would make me happy while I'm eating. I know I don't have to tell you how long it takes to finish a meal!! Good luck!

Sweetie let me start by telling you that you are never "truly" alone! I know you wish your family and/or friends were there with you but unfortunately they cannot be. If I lived any where near you I would be there in the waiting room for you sending up good thoughts and prayers for your safe recovery. Know that everyone on this board will be thinking of you on your special day!!! I'm sure you will have a safe, swift and uneventful recovery. Please keep us posted on your progress and know that everything will be just fine. Yes it does get easier as time goes on after your surgery and one day you will be able to get that slice of pizza or hamburger but as you said it will be smaller portions because you will be so much smaller!!! :D I'm sure you have happy thoughts about that now!! I look at my manual almost daily to make sure I'm doing what I should be doing but basically just do exactly what your doctors and nurses tell you to do and of course you have the people on this fabulous board to help you!!! You take really good care of yourself and know that everything really will be just fine!

Well I followed your advice. I didn't make it to Ross yesterday because I got stuck in Burlington. I found a pair of size 16 jeans for $5.99 so of course I scoured the entire store down to find more pairs!! I ended up buying the exact same pair in a 14 and 12!!! For $5.99 you can't beat that price with a stick!! :lol: I'm totally satisfied now! Toodles!!!

As everyone else has told you you do not have to say a word. You only have to tell them that you are having a minor procedure which will require you to stay over night in the hospital. You will have to get short term disability if your company offers it. Your short term disability provider will not tell your employer what procedure you are having. Check your company's human resources policies I'm sure there is something there. You don't even have to tell your human resources representative what procedure you are having. Hope this helps!! Kellz!!! You sound like you are doing great!! Keep up the good work!! Remember the first few days are the hardest but it will get easier. I got sleeved on 5/13 and I feel like my old self only lighter!! I go back to work on 5/31. I'm eating soft scrambled eggs, soft broccoli cheese soup, soft stewed chicken. I'm eating about 1/2 cup at each meal along with a glass of fat free/lactose free milk [trying to get in my protein!!] I just started getting in all of my vitamins and so far so good!! Please keep us posted on your progress. Take real good care of yourself!!

Hi Mina. Of course the decision is yours but I do hope you tell your sisters at least. You can even call them while you are being seated on the plane. Don't let whatever "anyone" says change your mind and remember that the decision is yours. Good luck to you on your weight loss journey and keep us posted!
