Hey Purpose... you won't PB, slime, or for that matter, feel that much restriction until your 2nd or even 3rd fills (depending on how much is in the fill)... so be careful what you wish for. I've been promised it WILL happen. I just had my 2nd fill yesterday and definately feel fuller, faster. :sick

Hey Yasmina... hope your trip was FABULOUS. Dont worry about your fill. You'll be fine. If I survived (and I'm a total suck), anyone can. I've had difficulty because my Port has turned inward so it was tricky to find. I personally found there was little, or no, restriction after the first fill. I'll get back to you and let you know how the 2nd one goes. I just got it this morning so I'm on fluids for the day. xo

Hey Dame... I just had the fill this morning so I'm strictly adhering to the "full-fluids" plan today (and I'm not a bit hungry... maybe just because of the stressful morning!). I'll get back to you later this week and let you know how my restriction is. I do feel a serious tightness just below my breasts, but above the port and I've been 'ever-so-carefully' sipping water this afternoon. Cheers!

Hey Guys: Tres Chic is doing very well, thanks for asking!!! It's so nice to come online after being away from the keyboard for awhile, and people are actually asking about you! Quick update: I had my second fill at TLBC today. It took 5 stabs and 2 different needles to get the job done because my port is twisted (something that several patients have been complaining about lately--since apparently they started doing the procedure a little differently). My first fill was just a little less stressful. I'm looking forward to the additional restriction. I haven't gained weight, but haven't lost anymore either. How's everyone else?

The Prune Yogurt we have in Canada is called "Activa". I'd be surprised if you didn't have it in the U.S. Keep checking. It's yummy!

It's almost first fill time for me too, and I'm nervous about potential pain. I'd love some feedback about what to expect. I'm eating way more than 1/2 cup servings, so hopefully that benchmark is for after fills. I'm finding I'm hungry all the time. Did others find this at around the 5-6 week post-surgery mark? Yours in bandland

My first few days back to work were brutal. I went back in 6 days.

Beccs: I'm 3 weeks in and I'm now on Mushies. I'm trying to stay between 800-1000 calories a day. That said, I'm finding I'm getting hungrier as time goes on. The fill should fix that but I don't get one until March 20th.

Congratulations! Sounds like a great experience. The gas pains will be gone in no time.

The sleep thing seems to turn around but it took me 2 1/2 weeks. I thought I was going to go out of my mind, but I'm now sleeping like a baby (oh yeah, and eating like one too!) :bored

Hey Louise: I was banded February 1st. The first night I slept longer than 2-3 hours was on the 16th! I have no explanation and you're the first other person that I've seen that's mentioned this side affect. It's comforting to know I'm not the only one and I'm happy to report that I'm back to sleeping full nights...FINALLY.

Other than a brief telephone call asking how I was feeling the day after my surgery, I have not met or spoken with anyone from TLBC.

You know what? You're right... I think the word "liquid" still scares me since I graduated to 'mushies'

Applesauce isn't a full liquid. Full liquid=jello, broth/consomme, protein drink, juice. That's it.
