It is day 4 of my pre-op diet. Things are going great except I have a terrible headache, I thnk it is lack of sugar. I can't wait for April 27 to get here. Nervous about Easter. But I CAN do this!!
  7. this is my 4th day of my pre-diet. Shakes, cream soups, sugar free pudding or jello, 4 oz of meat once a day for the first week none the 2nd week, cottage cheese. I am proud of myself - went to the movie, and popcorn is my FAVORITE food, and I didn't eat any of it even though it was sitting right next to me. My family isn't supportive of this so they do what they can to keep me off track. Just wants me to prove them wrong even more this time. Can't wait unti april 27 - y new life begins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Mine is April 27 and I am nervous and excited. I am sooo ready to be healthy and have a thinner body. The only thing is my family is not very supportive and I haven't told them yet about my surgery. Any ideas on how to tell them????????? Will love to have all of your support out there I have friends that have had it done, and co-workers who are supporting me, so that will help.
  9. I haven't had surgery yet, but I just joined It Figures Monday. Have been there everyday this week and have already lost 2 pounds. Exercise s the best thing we can do for ourselves.
  10. I joined a fitness center called It Figures, which is like Curves, only we can adjust the tention of the machines. they also offer aerobic classes 2 times a week. I enjoy it. So check it out 1st before you join. Some times you can have a 5 day free trial before you join.
  11. Just got my results of my Mental Health Test. Everything was fine, so results will be sent to doctor and then to insurance. I'm getting excited, but nervous as hell!!! It has been a really good day for me. On Monday I joined a local fitness center here in my home town, tonight we had aerobics and it is the night we weigh in for a contest going on. I lost 2 pounds already Wahoo for me.
  12. thanks. I have found lots of useful info already. I do have one question. How do you get the weight lose scale at the end of messages?
  13. Good luck. I happy for you. Cant have mine until April
  14. Well if all goes well, I should have my surgery the end of april.
  15. I know how you feel. My primary Dr is against me having this done. I am in my 4 month of getting info. If all goes well i can have my surgery end of April. I think that my biggest barrier is my family. They think if I would just say no that I can lose weight. well like you said, they haven't walked in our shoes. my dr says that a "food Addication" is the hardest addiction to get through cuz we NEED food to live. I have said that for years and it is so nice to have someone else feel like I do. This site will be great for us to contiue on our journey
  16. Hello All, Well I am in my 4 month of getting the band. I am from Minnesota. My Doctor is Dr Lee about 25 miles from my home town. If all goes well, I will be able to have my surgery towards the end of April. Last week I had my pysch evalutation. Won't get my results back for a few weeks. I have written my letter to the insurance company and have to wait for eval to see if I qualify and if they will cover it. I did some reading on here and boy I have alot of the same feelings others do. I know I need to lose weight, but I am terrified that I will fail again. I am getting better at my portion control and have been exercising. My family isn't very supportive of me in my new adventure. I come from a family of over weight people. It will be good to have some support. I do have a couple of friends that have had it done and are very successful. I will keep checking back for info and support. Thanks for listening Michelle
