  1. I posted last week about some itchy bumps around my wounds. It turns out it was an allergic reaction to the steri strips that were on there after surgery. It hadn't shown up until almost 9 days after my surgery so I was concerned. I know during my surgery there were tons of things taped to my body so it's possible if your rash is not at your wounds it could be from the other tapes during surgery. I of course am not a medical professional and I think you should at least call the doctor.

    Good luck

  2. I was banded last Monday February 7 th. My surgeon said not to pull the steer strips off my wounds that I should let them fall off. The small wound under my chest fell off 2 days ago. The larger wound still has the steer strips over it. But this morning it started itching around the area and by this evening there are all these little red bumps too. I see my surgeon tomorrow for my follow up so of course I'll ask her. I was just wondering if anyone had a similar experience.

    Thanks All!

  3. I was banded a week ago today. From what I had read etc people seemed to be going back to work in a few days. I went to work today. Took express bus with cushy seat. Sat at my desk took intermittent breaks to walk around. Almost fell asleep at work numerous times. Was in such discomfort all day. Came home and spent most of my evening trying to get comfy in bed to fall asleep but not being able to. I'm crying for no reason. I'm pasty white and my lips are chapped.

Does everyone feel this awful 7 days after? I'm still sore. Ran out of pain meds days ago. My whole body feels tightened up or tense. I can't get comfy or relax. I just want some sleep!

    Help please

    Debbie

  4. Hi all! I am being banded this Monday Feb. 7th. I was wondering what protocol was for underwear. Weird I know but do you get to wear them or do you have to be naked for surgery? Also how do they prep you? I imagine they disinfect you and possibly shave your stomach (even if you have no stomach hair? ) . Can anyone help me with specifics of what happens once you get to the hospital?

    Thanks,

    Debbie

  5. Wow! That is so great that you get to eat a little bit of other carbs and Proteins. I am on my 9th day of all liquids. I have 4 or 5 shakes a day and lots of Water. I have had some carrots and tomatoes too because I need to chew and that was approved by my surgeon. Other than that...nothing. I really don't think it has really sunk in yet that it's THIS Monday. How are you doing?
