Still not crazy about getting out of bed, but I do it faithfully... exercise is key...need a breakthorugh though, been in a 172 rut for months!!!!!!nonod.gif ad odnt know why... trying something nes though for the next thirty days... wan to lose 2 more pounds... I claim it! by April 23rd... 150!

  2. Just wanted to check in with my fellow bandsters... How is it going for you? I am losng weight, slowly but losing. I have lost about 34 pounds. I exercise 6-7 times a week. I have not been able to master the eating as timely as we are supposed too, but when I do eat I only eat the right foods. Snacking is very rare. I don't regret this band, and I am glad I did it. I have had two fills... I have 6 1/2 cc in a 14 band. Both of my fills hurt, but it only lasted seconds....What about you?

How much weight ave you lost?

What is your band and how much do you have in it?

    Do you exercise? How much?

Do you eat properly? 3-5 time a day?

What kind of foods do you eat?

    Any regrets?

Looking forward to your responses! :success1:

  3. I do the eliptcal first thing in the morning right out of bed (first athroom then weigh). I do 30 minutes, a little heav bag punching an or some bow flex excises... total about 45 minutes . I do take my Vitamins frst and have Water with me. I usually don't and really don't feel like Breakfast until much later, but I drink a Protein Shake usually for breakfast, oatmeal has been the only other substitute. I don't like the execise at all but its the only way! Good Luck!

  4. I to am insulin dependent on an insulin pump. You need to monitor your glucose level closely. Be sure to follow doctors orders, but most likely you will need to decrease your insulin intake because you are not getting the same amount of carbs as you would regularly. Best of luck as I am happy to report 16 days post, my insulin intake is about half of what it was.... hoping to get off real soon.

  5. Weighing yourself in the AM is best... but not more than once a week. I wish I could follow my own advice though. It is very satisfying to see the scale go down and depressing to see it go up daily. Look at the biggest loser, they go hard 5-6 hours a day and sometimes only lose 2-3 pounds a week. Don't be hard on yourself and start measuring your inches... Best of luck, BTW i m only 11 days post...

  6. Hope all March banders are well. I was banded on the 9th an each day has gotten progressively better with today having no pain, no gas, no meds. I was able to sleep some on my belly through the night and it felt marvelous! When is everyone going to start exercising. What has your doctor said? Yesterday i was so hungry was mad, but then I realized I was not getting enough of the liquids I was taking in. So I have been trying to get in enough. I am doing Protein Shakes started with one a day but my doc says I should have 3.. Up to on and a half. Take care all and let's gt this weight behind us.

  7. I've been on insulin since 2008, I am a type ii diabetic started on the pump in August 2010. The night before surgery turned my pump off after my shower and I have not had it on since and I am proud to say I am 3 days post op. I am very confused about what is going on, but I know I do not need the pump giving me insulin when my readings have not been above 125 even post meals. I know right now I am not eating and I will monitor closley as I ad more food and carbs to my diet, but this is a great feeling. I too love the pump, but if I can be pump and insulin free for life I'd love that even more! Funny thing is that I am not one hundred percent I will not go back on insulin in that I refiled my prescription yesterday. My HgA1C has been pretty good, last reading 6.2 from a 13 when I was diagnosised. Good luck to all!

  8. I am with Real Results and have had nothing but a great experience. One snafu, but it was quickly rectified. My first visit on Jan 13 and my surgery date March 9. They made sure my insurance had everything and I was approved in less than 24 hours! They called me and told me before the insurance company. I have my pre op tomorrow with Dr. Duncan, so I will share more tomorrow.

  9. Ok, so I'm only 5 days on the pre-op diet but I think I've figured out how to curb night snacking... Go to bed earlier. It mugh seem crazy but I tend to snack at night, watching tv, working on the computer..doing non essential stuff and just staying awake because. So I've still had the urge to snack but, I just go to bed. This new routine allows me to wake up and exercise because I've gotten my 8 hours and I feel refreshed enough to workout. Also by this time I am hungry and I've always been a person that skips Breakfast. So I am ready for my Protein Shake and I get my breakfast in.... wow, just a little change in my normal routine has so many benefits... no snacking after nine, because I go to bed. Wake up and exercise. Eat breakfast. Find the little things you can do to make changes if you eat emotionally, or just because. It is a breakthrough for me, so I thought I' share.... 8:30-9 PM is my new bed time.

  10. I started the process January 13, 2011 and I have a surgery date of March 9, 2011. Empire BCBS approved me in less than 24 hours and I got a phone call frm them 5 minutes after my doctors office called and told me I had been approved. No unreasonable request... psych clearance, letter of medical necessity, bmi 35 with a comorbidity or 40 without, 1 nutritional consult, labs EKG...that's it 5 things! Very impressed, simply because because insurance can be a nightmare. Get a good doctor, make friendly with the office staff, smile a lot and tell them thank you, it goes a long, long way!

sshhh Empire BCBS is the bomb!:Banane33: my happy dance. Good Luck to all.
