You are progressing very well. Keep up the awesome job.
Had my first fill on Saturday - 2cc's
Felt restriction almost immediately and have lost 1kg (2.2lbs) in the past 2 days
The hunger has gone and I am pushing the plate away mostly uneaten
Im heading towards One-derland and hope to be there before my niece's wedding on 13 March
Wish me luck as I too wish everyone good luck
Regards from Yogyakarta Indonesia

Congrats and wishing you a speedy recovery!
I feel great!
I have so much energy! Tomorrow will be the official 1 week post op date, and so far I have lost 15lbs!
The first few days after surgery, I was very depressed due to the gas pain. I didn't have shoulder pain, but I would almost do this silent burp, and all that would happen would be a sharp pain deep inside.
I have not felt hunger since the night before surgery, and this absolutely blows my mind! I already have some restriction as my surgeon leaves about 2-3ccs in the band during surgery.
Life is good! This is the best decision I have ever made!

THANKS FOR SHARING
But do you want to eat because you're hungry...or just because you want to eat. It's an important thing to be aware of. The band does take away the hunger at some point, but it won't stop you from 'wanting' to eat out of habit. As someone once said, they should probably band the brain too.

I give two thumbs up for the WASA Multi Grain. 1 Cracker has 45 Calories, 10g Carbs, 2g Fiber, 0g Fat, 2g Protien, and just 80mg of Sodium. They are on the Aproved Bestlife Foods List. How do you Wasa? Share your recipes at
I also found this recipe you may like
Serving size: 1/2 wrap Recipe makes: 4
Ingredients
2 low-carbohydrate, high-Protein, high-fiber wraps (such as Tumaro's Gourmet Tortillas, Multi Grain, Low in Carbs)
cooking spray, butter-flavored or olive oil-flavored
any dried spice, such as oregano flakes, ground cumin, paprika, etc...
Kosher salt
Directions
1.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
2.) Using a knife, kitchen shears, or your hands, cut or tear the wraps into chip-sized pieces. Lay flat so they do not overlap onto the baking sheet.
3.) Spray the chips with cooking spray, and then sprinkle them with salt and any seasoning you prefer.
4.) Bake for about 10 -12 minutes, watching them so they don't burn! If you enjoy them crispier, bake a couple minutes longer. Let cool.

I was banded the day after you. So far so good. I had a fill last week. My goal for the next two weeks is to stick to three solid meals per day and no shakes.< img src="https://s.bariatricpal.com/uploads/emoticons/default_biggrin.png" alt=":D" srcset="https://s.bariatricpal.com/uploads/emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />
I was banded the 17th. That first week SUCKS!! All I could think about was food. I was so weak and hungry, called my dr and nurse said stick with clear liquids:( Went in Wed and nutritionist said, oh I would of let you have Protein Shakes. I got to progress to full liquids, and mushy food, and I am in heaven. I feel so much better now! Hang in their!!!

Hi all. Here I am.

My instructions sound like yours... 3 meals at 2 liquid ounces per meal. Only one protien shake per day can be used to substitute for a meal. For now I am able to do that. Its only a week since my first fill. I know I should try to do without substituting a meal with a shake for a while. My instructions warn that shakes can cause the pouch to reduce in size that filling the pouch with solids is the best.
My instructions for "week 7 and beyond" is 3 small meals and 1 small snack per day with each meal being no more than 4-6 tablespoons.

I do not think that my story will let anyone know what to expect. I met my surgeon a few minutes before I went under. He asked me how much I weighed. I met him again about an hour before I was discharched. It only took three weeks start to finish for my pre-op to post-op status. Too much fun!

Wow you look awesome! I am inspired.

I had my first adjusment this past Tuesday. I was a nervous wreck and wanted to eat non-stop. But it was all nerves not true hunger. I was so glad to go on straight liquids for the one day pre-fill and the two days post fill. So far so good. Only one thing bothers me and that is the bruise left from the injection. I also have one on my wrist and one on my knee, all from injections. I wonder if I have a deficiency. I will see the Nurse Practitioner this Thursday and I am sure she will know whats causing the bruising.

Last year, around May2010, I saw a Gastroenterologist for reflux. I asked her about the sore throat that never seamed to go away. When I told her that it felt like my nose was running down the back of my throat, she told me it was the opposite, that the acid was going up the Esophagus into the nasopharynx. Anyway, after reading so many folks saying that they know when they have had enough to eat when their noses start to run, I started to wonder if their pouch is over full and what is really happening is acid reflux. When my surgeon was doing my Lap Band he repaired my hiatal hernia. I am so happy that I no longer have reflux or heartburn or a sore throat!

I have regained two pounds in the past week. I sure hope its just Water weight gain. I went out of town for the holiday. I returned on the 26th and weighed in for the first time in a week and was so happy with my weight loss. Well yesterday I weighed 2 lbs more than I did a week ago. Not good and I want to eat all the time.

I had my banding November 18th, 2010. Tomorrow, January 4th, 2011, I get my first adjustment. I am so glad I found this site yesterday. Having read through so many posts has helped settle my nerves. Thanx to all

I see my surgeon tomorrow. I plan to ask what that whole episode was about. Thanx for the feed back.

My choice to have a banding was made over two years ago. I then spent two years yo-yo dieting. I must have lost and regaind the same twenty pounds twenty times before I met my surgeon.

Has anyone used the Be Light Weight for their pre-op management?

Around the third week post-op I had intence pains in my lowwer left abdominal region. I almost went to the ER for it. The last stabbing pain I had I said to myself it must be a kidney stone and that if I had one more pain like that I would call 911 and go to the ER. Well I drank several glasses of Water and urinated several times but that last stabbing pain was the last stabbing pain! I still do not know what was causing it, but I am very glad it has not come back again.

Hi Everyone,
I love the low carb diet, I love to edit traditional recipes into low carb recipes, I only have one problem. My one problem is my morning java. Oh well its not that big of a deal. I find that if I burn those carbs doing a half hour walk I can get away with my coffee thing.
