  1. I'm so sorry that happened to you. Some people can be so cruel. Just look at it that you are taking steps to change and that lady probably won't ever change her sad sorry self. From looking at your photo, you look like a beautiful lady..keep smiling and don't let that experience get you down.

  2. You are NOT alone. I'm over 6 months out and still struggle with food choices. I've posted more than my share about my struggles. I have to give myself some credit that I am doing way better than I did pre surgery but I do have to fight it everyday. I have an addiction,,with life struggles, traumas and difficult circumstances. But I think food can grab anyone at anytime so for whatever reason we are food addicts,,it is what it is. I'm with rebecca,,we can do this! I'm here if you ever need anyone to just listen, feel free to pm me.

  3. Do you have any comorbitities? Your doctor can do a peer to peer session with the insurance company,,in other words..go to bat for you. Don't give up yet :) Cover every option till you run out. As a last resort, I would discuss lapband and bypass (if your insurance allows) with your surgeon to see what a back up option might be. I haven't read your whole blog yet but if you don't mind me asking,,what is your bmi?

  4. I've always been told to weigh early in the morning, that is the most accurate weight..and not so often. Once a week should suffice. I'd drive myself crazy if I stalked my scale all day everyday.

As for the constipation, I haven't even had surgery yet but I have been a long time sufferer of it (IBS). I've actually had 3 doctors (one being GI) tell me it is very safe to use miralax daily. It's flavorless and you can add to a cup of coffee, tea, diet soda,,whatever. 1 cap a day and you will be going regular within a week. If not, try 2 capsful 2 times a day. If this doesn't work, you should see a GI. 6 days is way too long to go without bm's. Good luck!
