8 oz of Ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
1 large Egg, beaten
1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
salt & pepper to taste
1/2 cup Marinara Sauce
1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Mix ricotta cheese, parmesan, beaten egg, seasonings together and place in a oven proof dish. Pour marinara on top and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake it in the oven @ 450 for about 20-25 minutes (best) or nuke it till hot and bubbly. I usually made it first in the oven and heated the leftovers in the microwave.
Thank you so much! I searched for ever for this recipe!

Someone recently posted a recipe for the soft mushie stage...It had ricotto cheese, some sauce, and maybe a couple of other things. They baked it and said it sort of had the taste of lasagna. I have been searching for it and can not remember where it was listed. If you can help or if you are the one who posted please repost!

I was banded at 9:30 am in Baltimore, MD yesterday (1-14-11.) I was able to go home around 7 p.m. I feel good just a little sore. I think that gas is on its way. I am currently taking Gas-X strips...any other suggestions!
I also got banded yesterday! Congrats! I am mainly just sore. Good luck! - Tracey

Well, tomorrow is the big day, FINALLY! I have been on a liquid diet for 5 days and I feel like eating my arm off! I have lost 8 pounds total before surgery, and I can't wait until I reach my goal! For now, I just have to say, I am getting banded tomorrow at 8:30am, North Cypress Hospital, by Dr. Waggoner.
Please pray for me and See you on the other side!
Ark
Tomorrow is my date as well! Good luck to you.

My surgery date is January 14. I've been on this pre-op diet since the 31st. It's 5 Bariatric Advantage shakes (nasty!) or 5 sugar free carnation instant Breakfast (not filling). I can also have broth, sugar free Jello and sugar free popsicles. I felt like I had the flu the first few days. Now I am just plain hungry for some real food. I went to my first seminar in April 2010. Saw the doc in May. Then I did 6 months of dietician visits and 6 months of exercise calendars. I also had to visit a psychologist. I got approved (5'4 and 268 at the time) and was supposed to have surgery in November. Instead I had gallbladder surgery since stones showed up on my upper GI. THEN a heart issue showed up during surgery so I needed to get cardiac clearance. I did not get clearance until mid December after the cardiologist wanted to do a heart cath. So, here I am. Ready, nervous. My doc says the surgery will be a breeze but that I will probably have to spend the night due to my heart (I have "extra beats"). He said I should be able to eat broth that night and that I will be walking around soon after surgery. Oh, and I've already pre-registered and paid the hospital so no backing out now!
If anyone has the same surgery date (or around that date) I'd like to hear from you. I've had the opportunity to do tons of reading and research as my surgery kept getting put off...meanwhile I'm down to 254.

This is my surgery date as well. However I only have to do a 7 day prior to surgery diet, so I cant offer any advice. Hopefully we can keep up with how each other is doing.
