  1. Yeah!! One pound under goal weight as of this morning!! I can't believe it!! I am so happy and feel so much better than this time last year! Down from high of 232 and now 9 months later at 149!! Best decision I ever made, even though there have been challenges with re-learning how to eat and all of the things that go with lapband! YAHOO!

  2. Now down 80 pounds! Almost to my goal of 150 -- 4 pounds to go ... what an AMAZING feeling. It is odd however that my band seems tighter than a few months ago -- I haven't had an adjustment since March and I feel like I can hardly eat anything. Have to take just 2-3 small bites and then quit ... does anyone else have this problem? If I eat any more it tends to hurt and ultimately comes back up

  3. Doing pretty well -- down 60 pounds since surgery December 1st -- still find some foods tricky and eating enough protein and water ... get a stuck feeling a couple times a week with minor vomiting - still not pleasant. Overall feeling a lot better than I did in December -- down now to a size 10 from an almost 18 ... that in itself feels great! Need to upload a new photo.

  4. How are you doing since getting banded?

  5. Hi Dolly - How are you doing? How did your holidays go? I probably ate too much and need to get back on track. I have my first fill on January 13th and am actually looking forward to it as I think I need more restriction. I hope to start going to the gym 2 times a week for a start and then work up to 4 times a week. Let me know how you're doing!

  6. You may not be hungry but your body needs protein to keep the metabolism going - protein drinks go down pretty well and provide the nutrients your body needs. It's an easy way to get it in.

  7. Just a short suggestion on the morning hunger and 3/2 eating -- I have found a great protein hot chocolate that does the trick - it starts my day out right with protein and curbs the hunger, then the snacks are also protein drinks and lunch and dinner are the lean proteins, veges and fruit. It is true that you have to keep your metabolism going by feeding it regularly otherwise it shuts down.

  8. Wow, you look GREAT! You have to be so proud of yourself. I hope that I will have those great results by this time next year as well! Only 10 days in so have a long way to go.

  9. Thanks! Got through week one liquids -- hoping to make it through week 2 -- I am hungry tho -- keep up the healing and we'll get to the workouts in a few weeks.

  10. Actually the recipes are not on this site but on the lapband.com website -- there is a lot of really great information on that site that I think you would find helpful.

  11. I'm doing pretty well today -- still on mostly liquids and get hungry so have added at least one mushy item a day to help with hunger -- I had no-fat refried beans with lo-fat cheese and taco sauce -- really curbed the appetite and made me feel satisfied for the first time since the surgery last Friday. How are you doing? Hang in there, I know when I get bored is when I eat the wrong thing.

  12. Good for you -- hang in there and keep sharing. I got my band a week ago tomorrow and feeling good -- I didn't need any pain meds and am up walking around - still on liquids and starting to get hungry - but overall good ... this is our first step to a healthier life! Woohoo!
