Date banded~ 1/20/2011 Total weight loss since banding/pre op diet~147 Do you have any Valentines day plans (How do you plan to handle Valentines dinner)~ Probably dinner where I will split and entree with my sweetheart then a movie. After months of nothing but loosing I am now having to work a lot harder. I gained 4 lbs over the weekend. Starting off the month with a bad cold so let's see what happens.

  4. Checking in late. I seem to be stuck right around 240 + or - 2 lbs. So basically I had no change for the month, at 239 Sunday morning. I think I need a fill right now so that is not helping but I have been making it to the gym more often. So rather than dwelling on what has been better to look at the future. Everyone join up for next months "Be My Valentine Challenge".

  6. Weighing in at 237 down 2 pounds from last week. Seeing how unmotivated I have been since it has gotten cold I will take it.

For all of us who didn't, don't give up, it's a long race and it is not about winning, it's about finishing. Remember Monday is Martin Luther King day. We have come a long way since the 60's but still have a ways to go. Let's all set a new goal to treat everyone with respect and as equals regardless of race, gender, religion, ethnic background, political views, apperance and sexual orientation.

  13. Here I am checking in a day late again. No loss for this week, still at 240. I will try to get the numbers poste but it may be the weekend before I have time.

    Weighed in this morning at 240 for a total loss of 3 pounds for the month. This is my lowest loss since I was banded almost a year ago. Looks like I am going to have to start working harder. Joan is taking a break since she had her band removed and we wish her luck in the coming year and I hope that she checks in with us every now and then. I will try to get the final results of the Holiday Challenge up this weekend.Next months challenge will be the 2012 Auld Lang Syne Challenge Hope everyone has a happy and enjoyable New Year.

    Not a good week 242 this morning up 3 pounds from last week. Between eating a bunch of crap this week, too much partying on the weekend, the flu and a gout attack it has been a pretty bad month. Not only that but I haven't met any of my other goals for the month. Oh well no use looking back, time to get on track for the "It's a Brand New Year Challenge" next month.

    Joan, Tell your son to check this one out. I played one this weekend in a local music store so now I am saving my pennies. It is a Gold Tone Resouke Solid Brass Rsonator on a soprano scale uke. Very cool and very loud. Lisa, Cool stats I have been thinking of including something like that into the stats page, Just need to find the time to sit down and write the code.

    I am down 2 pounds at 239. That makes a 150 pounds that I lost this year. That is equal to carrying around 10 bowling balls everywhere I went.

    I forgot to post my weight yesterday, I was at 241 for a two pound loss. Had a bad week last week, my boss was in Malaysia and kept having me modify this program for him and the 13 hour time difference made things hectic, that on top of a sinus infection made for a crazy week. Off work for the next three days and I am going to my sister's on Saturday to Celebrate my Mom's birthday and play Christmas Carols with my brother. The Holiday Challenge chart has been updated. Here is the link. The Holiday Challenge Hope everyone has a good weekend. Joan hang in there, I think if I had my band removed right now I could at least still maintain and probably loose since I now know how to do it.

    Three weeks post op I wouldn't worry to much, you are still healing. A lot of people don't start loosing until their first fill. Just stay on track and it will start showing.

    Great choice. I think that my next uke will be a Cordoba with a pickup. I want an electric so I can play rock n roll. Right now I have 3 that are playable, a Lanikai Mango concert, a Bruko mahogany soprano, and a 1940's harmony soprano. I have one in almost every room in the house and whenever I get bored I pick one up and play it. I told my wife that I was going to get another for the bedroom in case I wake up during the night and want to play a song. She wasn't that amiable to that suggestion.
