    Hair loss/thinning

I had more hair loss with my band and no more than usual with my sleeve. I made sure to get all my protein and vitamins in. I thankfully never lost handfuls. Good for me as I do not have thick hair anyways.

    If there was one....

I just pulled mine out. The nest resource book I found wad Weight Loss Surgery For Dummies. It has a wealth of knowledge in all stages and even types of surgery

    Local Y, or Curves?

I personally would choose y so you can do more specialized exercises for your problem areas and will allow you amp up your routine as needed. I do a general good workout for my whole body and do targeted exercises for my abs and inner thighs. I don't believe that curves can do this for you.
  5. Thank you for the pics. You are doing great. You did a super job on your photos too
  6. Sorry I can't be more help but be careful and dont be afraid to contact your Bariatric team for their help. They are the medical pros.

    Preop Done!

You can do it. Keep your eye on the prize, but make sure you care of yourself too. You don't want your diabetes to get out of control too.
  8. Keep a positive attitude and remember this is temporary and will pass soon. A lot of your pain is from the gas. Walking and a heating pad helped me. Some say shoulder rolls help them. I definately would start stool softeners and ask your team for a good laxative choice. This is probably where your hard stomach is from. Drink your fluids as they help too. If none of this helps or you develop more issues, get a hold of your team. Take care and speedy recovery.

    Approved - Just waiting

Congrats on the approvals! You have made the best choice for your body. Keep learning what is coming your way
  10. I am also 7 months out. My way of staying in control is having my food laid out for the day and the potions too. I also make sure the fluids, protein get in and I eat every 2 to 3 hours so I don't get overly hungry. Coming to the forums helps me stay in control. But one of the bigger ways i stay in control is being in weight watchers. Weekly weigh ins and tracking all my food has been a big help. Good luck and stay strong. We have invested too much time into this journey to slack off now.

    Has your mind caught up?

That is a great idea. I look at my daughters. They are about 10 to 15 pounds lighter than me. I am still amazed that I can be as shapely as them. I also have a pair of. My daughters jeans that I can almost zip. Couldn't even get a leg in before. We all should be proud.

    OMG I CANNOT WAIT!

Great attitude. Keep up the good work. Getting rid of caffeine and soda was a challenge at that time. Hope you have not encountered anything like this.

    I'm two weeks post op

I pureed what my family had for supper. It had the flavor that baby food did not. I used baby food after my band and that was not wonderful. I did however use some baby food fruits and vegetables. They were not bad. Pureed oatmeal was another favorite.
  18. How fabulous! Good luck on the last 20. I am on them too. I never thought I could be this small. The sleeve is such a wonderful tool.
  19. Keep up the deligence. The prize is worth it and so are you. Hope your weight is short.

    Heartburn

I was advised by my Bariatric team to take an acid releaver for the first 6 months. I am 7 months out and still take one occasionally is symptoms flare up
  21. I too had problems with my depression after my surgery. They added a med that is not time released. As a sleever we are to avoid time released meds per my Bariatric team. After a couple of tweeks I am doing well now.
  22. Please don't delay. This is your health. If the doctor says go, go. Won't your husband rather you be safe than risking something worse. Good luck and prayers for the pain to go away.

    Im 5 days post op..

Just do your best these first days. You and your new stomach are on a new adventure. Try and get all or as much protein in as you can. Anything above this a bonus at this point. Movement and a positive attitude will help you through this. Well wishes.
