1. I will try and make the Wed night meeting in Houma.
2. Nicolerose don't be nervous, you are not making a mistake, think of it as restarting your life. You will do great. If I everhave to do this again I would. I wouldn't even think twice. Good luck to you.
3. Hi Cuteypie, how did your surgery go?
4. I was a self-pay ($12,900). I have no regrets what so ever. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I want to make the next support group meeting in Houma. Does anyone know when it is?
5.
I am from Raceland,La. and I would recommend anyone to Southern Surgical Center. I think all the Doctors are great and Chris the NP. That is the nicest Doctors office I have ever been to. You feel really welcome there.

6. Hi I am from Raceland, Good Luck on your journey. Do you go to any support groups? I want to start going to the one in Houma. I had my surgery with Dr. French in NO, but heard you are welcome at the one in Houma.
7. Well its nice to meet you cblair6271. When are you having surgery?
8. Try taking baby bites every so often, like when you are washing clothes or doing dishes. I have to do that sometimes to get my band to open up a little.
9. Where were you banded, was it Mexico? If not I don't think you have anything to worry about.
10. Hi to everyone. Are any of you from Louisiana?
11. I do a couple times a week.
12. My Godmother has had diabetis since she is a child and she just had the gastric, she is doing great and the doctors seem to think she will get off of insulin soon. she wanted the lapband but her body rejects certain objects so thats why she went with the Gastric. She hardly takes any insulin now.
13. I thought I would loose mine but they are still here, just a little saggy...if you know what I mean. More like skin in a bag...lol
14. My dad was against me having it but I just turned my head and went ahead with it. He doesn't tell me nothing about it but I know he can tell I look and feel better. He proberly regrets telling me I shouldn't do it but he would never say it to me. Don't worry what they think it is your life. People that never had a weight problem don't know what its like. I wish I would have done this 5 years ago.
15. If you have to pay for it, it is well worth it. If Iever have to get a new one I sure will. It has been one of the greatest things I have done for myself. THink of all the other little things you waste money on and also you will save on food. I would pay for it in a heart beat. Believe me I am not rich but I found a way to pay for it.
16. I usually only get .2cc at a time. Mine varies certain times of the month. One day I can eat a lot and the next I will throw up.
17. You need to find out how much the fills aren going to be if you are cash pay. My Dr charges 40.00 a fill but for someone who went elsewhere for surgery (like Mexico) they will charge around 250.00 or better. Make sure to check into all that.
18. Well I think he is starting to come around and see what I am talking about. I think he just thinks i will leave him or something but I love him and have too much to lose. I just want to stop feeling shy about getting undress in the front of my own husband that I have been with for 12 years. I think it would also spunk things up again like when we were younger...lol.
19. I am interested in having a tummy tuck, arm lift, and breast lift. I thought it would be interesting if we start a before and after plastic surgery thread for pictures.
20. I know you said you wanted a lift but how are they looking without the lift? Do you find you still need a lift with the implants? I have a consultation in Nov and I wanted a lift with implants and tummy tuck at the same time. I also want my arms done but I think I will wait longer on that.
21. Just was dropping by to say HELLO to all the January Bandsters. Hope everyone is doing great! I had another fill and think I am back on track again.
22. This is me a few weeks ago about 7 months since sugery.
23. I want plastic surgery and he says I need to get it out my head. I just want to finish it off.
24. Last Summer my father told me to jump in the pool and make him a big title wave, that hurt so much. Thats when I decided to do something. It took me to lose 50lbs before he could tell I lost weight. It always hurted more when your family member said something about your weight, especialy the ones who don't have a weight problem. No one knows what it is like to have a weight problem if you don't have one. The other day my 7 year old daughter made my day, she said mom you are getting skinny. That felt so good!!!
