1. I wish I would have looked into this long time ago, I have been overweight all my life too. DOn't let anyone say you are too young, you have your whole life to look forward too and being overweight in this world is too hard. Good luck!
2. For everyone in her boat I would wait to tell everyone afterwards. I have a cousin who tryed to discourage me, she tryed to talk me into just haveing a tummy tuck instead because thats what she did. Well I rather get rid of the fat first then plan for that later. Whats the point of getting that done if you don't have your weight undercontrol and when you have cos. surgery like that without watching your weight you will gain in other places. She has talked about getting her legs done but why not spend the money on lapband instead, you have to start with weight loss first. Well bottom line I just think she was jealous because even though she had a tummy tuck she still has a weight problem.
3. MY mother and I were banded the same day. It is really good to go through it with someone near by so you can compare the different things you might eat or do. I know we pretty much stayed right on top each other on weigh loss. Maybe a few lbs different but neck in neck.
4. I feel that if it was maybe easier to have a tubal, there would be less people living on the Gov.System. I know someone that just kept having kids because she can live off the gov hand and foot. If I would have proberly had another child, but then I wouldn't have been able to give them what I can give the child I have now. You know it is sad when the Gov can give someone everthing when they don't work but someone that works has to pay for everything, and can't get any help at all. Not even childcare help because you make a penny too much. I don't beleive in bringing a child in the world on purpose knowing you can't provide a decent life for them. I do feel blessed that I am able to have a child, I feel for the people that want children and can provide a great life for one. It make s me so mad the ones on drugs and don't care, they have children like it is popcorn. The girl knew would still be haveing kids if she wouldn't have almost died having the last one, she ended up having a hystorectomy after the 4th one. She would be on #10 if that wouldn't had happen. It makes me so mad to see someone like that having children when there is so many that can't. Those of you who can't God will bless you in another way.
5. Bottom line they are just jealous!!!!!
6. Way to go:clap2:!!!! I am happy for you. You will not regret it. You will be feeling so much better soon. I am getting so close to go weight, but I am so happy and feel so much better, it wouldn't disapoint me if I didn't lose anymore. I feel so much better. Good Luck to you!!!
7. Thanks babygrl1234, I am trying to get him to go. It shouldn't be a problem with him, he is the one that didn't want any kids to start with. He is just a big chicken when it comes to doctors. You know how men are.:hurt
8. Where is everyone? How is everyone doing? Is everyone ready for the Holidays coming up? I am so ready and excited to see people I haven't see in a long time. Well I hope everyone has a Happy and Safe Halloween.
9. My husband hates going to the Doctor, he is worst that my 7 year old for shots...lol. I don't the think the band is an issue but after losing what I have lost, I know for sure I don't want anymore. Thanks for you response.
10. Boxers are wonderful!!! I always had one since I was a kid. They are wonderful with kids, we will get another next year and maybe start breeding them. I am sure our climate is about the same, never know what you will be wearing in the morning... Its chilli right now but it may be so hot in the morning...lol. My mother has a green thumb, I wish she would give it to me. She can grow anything, she just takes clippings from different plants when she goes somewhere and by the next week she has a beautiful plant...lol. I wish I could do that. What part of AL are you from? My step-mother is from Mobile.
11. DOn't worry I have killed a cactus too....lol
12. Wow! We have a few things in common. I love plants but don't have a green thumb, I live and in the south, and I do have a boxer. I wish I could help you out with the plants. I have some Bird of Paradise, I think they do ok in the winter but it is a tropical plant. I see a lot of people have big ones and they don't seem to die in the winter becaise they are very slow growing. If I think of something else I will let you know.
13. I am losing slow, I think if I would exercise I would lose faster but I work shift work, 2 weeks days and 2 weeks nights so I can't stay in a routine. By the time I get going, its time to switch.
14. This was the first year I ever dressed up and felt so good! I can imagine how you feel because although I lost 60lbs, I thought I wouldn't find anything and then I lucked out. I tryed plus sizes and they were just tobig and nothing I liked and the reg sizes ran small, so I just settled for the reg large and squeezed my but in it and it worked out perfect. Hope you get it to work out for you. By the way I am planning to dress up every year, it was so much fun.
15. 1-2 lbs a week. I lose about 1 lb a week. This is a life long thing, if you are a slow looser give it time it will come off.
16. I forgot to mention, I had a horriable pregnacy. I had a emergency c-section at 31 weeks, I wouldn't want to think about going through that again. I do have a miracle baby!
17. Kellymovingon, How did you get to do it? Did you have some kind of complication?
18.
Thanks Chickie for your opinion. My husband and I have been together for since I am 16, I think to if we wanted more we would have had them by now, my husband didn't want the first one but he loves her dearly. He always said he didn't want another one. I thought I would but the older I get I don't want anymore. I have friends that have 3 and 4 kids and I don't know how they do it, between a sitter and school work, I just don't know. I am lucky I have a sister-in-law that can't have kids and she helps me out when I am at work. I am glad to know I am not the only one in that boat. Thanks!!!

19. I am getting close to my goal weight and I am positive I don't won't anymore children. I have one little girl who I absolutly adore but I think going through this journey I can do without having anymore children. My husband doesn't want anymore either. I would have loved to have given my little girl a brother or sister but she is 7 years old now and things or so scary in this world we live in today, I also work 12 hour shifts too. I was wondering if anyone had a tubal ligation after being banded and only having one child or having it done without any children. How hard is it to get a doctor to do this procedure with just having one child and being 28 years old? I have been over weight all my life and I finally feel like I am starting a new life with my husband and daughter. I am not being selfish, I just know I don't want anymore children. If I did I would have just got it over when I was heavier. I know they say when you lose a lot of weight you become more fertile, well I am not going to lie, I am so scared I get pregnant after all of this acomplishment. I have a paraguard but I am so scared it falls out and I don't realize it and bam!!! So I am looking into having a tubal ligation. Am I being over worried?
20. My husband and I for our Halloween party.
21. Good Luck!!!! Everything will go fine.
22. Its good to hear everyone is doing great and soon to be banded!!!!
