I was on clear liquids for the first two days and then full liquids for 7 days after that.

I understand how you feel because I am always fluctuating in my weight. By my home scale I am down to 197 but at the doctors I'm 201. I know that it was a different time of day but does it really matter that much. Just don't get discouraged!! It will get better

I'm surprised that you can do breads and pastas only because I was told to stay off of them for at least 6 months. I am over 2 months banded and I have yet to become stuck. I have had my second fill and it really hasn't effected what I can eat just how much.

There are times I feel discomfort because I do sit at a desk for 12 hours a day. During those times I have to stretch or stand up. Sometimes I feel like it's because I'm all scrunched up.

I just have to say that I'm tired of my holidays sucking. This will be the third holiday in a row that is horrific. The first one I was in the middle of a divorce, the second one I was dealing with the fact that I couldn't see my stepkids and now this one my sister in law may be taking the baby back to England to live withOUT my brother. I'm just wondering when it is going to end. I would love the holidays to be happy again.

So I feel like I have been stuck for the past two weeks. I haven't lost anything and my eating hasn't changed plus now I'm exercising...what do I do?

That's great!!!

Congrats on losing 27 lbs. I'm only a half a month behind you and I think you're doing terirfic. My doc said that the first 2 months is really about healing not as much about the weight loss. And good for you getting the basics down. I have to actually time my self when I eat because I have a habit of eating way to fast plus it's so hard for me not to drink while eating. Just remember that we aren't on the biggest loser---we aren't going to lose over 100 lbs in 2 months. Also remember that you will always have support here!

I was banded on 10/1/2010 and have lost 25.8 lbs.

I was banded on 10/1/2010 and just this past week I started feeling dull pain near my left ribs. It's not so intense yet that I need to call the dr. but I am going to mention it on Tuesday when I go for a fill. Sometimes I think it's because of the fact that I sit all day in a chair and rarely get to move around at my job.

I had to quit smoking for 2 months prior to surgery and they even checked my blood for it. Now I'm back to smoking but not as much because I feel like you took my food away so I'm going to smoke. It's frustrating to go from one bad habit to another. But when I do read this site and see things about bandster hell I feel like I must have been lucky because I have not experienced any of that. The only problem I have is hiccuping after eating.
-
So I'm just thinking that it's me but does anyone else hiccup after they eat. It started after getting my band and it's really annoying plus a little embarrassing. Let me know if it happens to you!

When I got my first fill in Nov. my Dr. only put 2.5 cc in but I already had 3 cc in from the surgery. I go next Tuesday for my second fill and I can't wait because I feel like I could eat a lot more than I should.

Hi everyone,
So far I have lost 25 lbs but I'm feeling great. I just started a gym and it's kicking my butt so far. But I'm loving it. My clothes are starting to fit better and I can see a difference. I can't wait till my surgi-versary to see how I'm doing.
-
I did not have the problem for the first two weeks since I was on liquids then and nothing stayed in. By that time I was done with the pain meds.
-
Usually I eat between 1/2 cup to 1 cup but I think there may have been time where I went over the cup, like Thanksgiving.

Congrats! I completely understand because I now can walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath and it's so much better

So I don't know what's going on but I am so nauseous today. I was banded 10/1/2010 and I haven't ever felt this way. I don't feel like eating but i'm making myself just to get some Protein. Any ideas on what it is or what would help?!
-
That is such a great idea! And congrats for adding another charm!

I've tried eating with a little fork and spoon after reading some of the comments and it has helped me tremendously.

I would suggest switching up your exercise routine because your body gets used to doing the same things. At least that is what my trainer told me.
