  1. When you get out of the shower use your hair dryer and blow it dry do not wipe bc it can reopen the sore. If it has a "smell" use something like monostat( which you use normally for vaginal yeast infections). Put the cream on the clean sore area. If it doesn't get better be sure to go to the doctor. Also, have your dr keep a log of these type of infections bc I have heard that it will help with insurance f you need a panni!

  2. Not depressed at all, and this is a bit of a sensitive subject for me. Seems that the default assumption when someone is upset, angry, frustrated, etc. by their situation - they must be depressed. That is NOT the issue. Being frustrated to begin with and then seeing a thread for January bandsters in which everyone is losing significant amounts of weight did end up in a crying jag, however. Point taken about the alternative - would not have lost ANY lbs and probably would be heavier at this point if I had not done this. I just get tired of feeling like I'm in the worst case scenario with everything in regards to the band. I'd like some of the ease and success that others seem to be having!

P.S. Congrats on your success! 38+ lbs is awesome!

  3. I hear your frustration. Please understand until you get filled you are going to have increased hunger because you are somewhat dieting right now. This is what bandster hell is! I am only 3 months out, and just had my 3rd fill; I have 5.7 cc in a 10 cc band. As of yesterday I have lost 38.2 pounds. I am at what they call there sweet spot. Some people find it at 2 fills some at 6+ fills. No matter, you lost 2 pounds. Would have lost weight by eating whatever and not exercising? Try not to be so hard on yourself, depression puts weight on you. Have you gone to a doctor to talk about your depression?

  4. Weight loss is a huge reason for irregular periods. I have an IUD, I am only supposed to spot every once in a while. Since, I have had surgery I have had a full period for about 10 days at a time. I went to my gyn 2 weeks ago and she said it is due to rapid weight loss. I did not think I was having rapid weight loss then I thought, I have lost over 30 pounds since 11/23! That explains why my hormones are going a little crazy! She said when weight loss slows things should go back to normal. We shall see!

  5. Something I was told... As we start to loose weight we start feeling frisky. We are staring to see our bodies as sexy again. Therefore, we have more sex because we realize it is more fun. Also, as we loose weight women for some reason another get pregnant easier. There is something called a lazy ovary and as weight disappears our ovaries get less "lazy"!

  6. I honestly don't know if I am exactly at that "sweet spot"? I have 5.5 cc in a 10cc band. I feel really good but have a hard time eating meat unless it's fish, tuna, or been crock potted. I am still learning Joe to use my band I am only 9-10 weeks out. I am assuming that my weight will level off soon. I will say that I hate exercising so I have not been good at that, yet! But I am eating healthy, I call it my lifestyle diet! I don't deprive myself, but I find if I taste that food I was craving I realize that I physically can't eat it anymore and I am fine with that. My doctor did tell ne that even though I am loosing great that I will have a hard time reaching goal if I don't exercise more. I started at 236, my goal is between 140-150. When I was in the beginning stages my goal is/was 136 bc that is what I weighed in high school. But with body changes I don't know if it is possible. Wishing everyone the best and would love suggestions!

  7. Well, as of tomorrow I will be 8 weeks post op. Since surgery, I have lost 28.6 pounds! From size 20 to 16. Also, I can wear all the shoes in my closet! As of 2:00 today I weighed 208.6 lbs and I am hoping by my birthday 2/22 I will be around 195-200 and finally weigh less than my husband. That will feel great!!
