What do you dip? First meal?

Jennie-o or honey suckle brand is what I use, my family prefers it to ground beef now!

Well, I like fat free pretzels or saltines. I also like baby carrot sticks, sliced squash, zucchini. Sometimes I mix lit up with horsradish mustard and dip my sliced turkey! Yummy!

I liked hummus, egg drop soup, yogurt, and Lipton noodle soup. I make chilli almost weekly. I cook alot of my meats in the crockpot it makes them moist and tender which you will soon learn is the only way to get it down. I never blended anything, the thought of it turned my stomach.

    This journey has me thinking...

That is the exciting part, you can shop anywhere! No special store or tiny section. You can look on sale racks and not be limited:)
  5. I was wondering if anyone here has been banded through True Results in Richardson? If so, what is the normal first fill amount? I would love to compare results and stories!

    True results in Richardson TX

This is my second time writing this! The first time who knows what happened!! I had everything done through True Results and Surgical Center of Richardson. My surgeon was Dr. Benevidas, who I have barely met so I have no opinion of him. But one of his nurses was wonderful! She called me everyday for 10 after checking on me and my pain level. That was a great bonus! I was banded 11/23 and weighed 234 as of today I am 208! I have not started exercising yet:( next week I plan to start a routine because I will be off work for two weeks! Woot! Woot! I would love to hear yalls exercise routine. I go for my post op appointment and first fill next Tuesday, thank goodness! My surgeon placed 3 cc's in my band during surgery but for the past week I have noticed myself wanting to eatmore. It doesn't help that it is te holidays and goodies everywhere I turn. Keep me updated, I would love to hear your thoughts and stories!
  7. I was banded 11/23. 5 days after surgery I was miserably hungry. I added a 1/4 cup of yogurt and or a half of pudding cup. It was amazing how that little bit made me feel so much better. It also gave me a bit of energy, which I am sure was all in my mind:)

    Food question

I have not had a problem either. I order sushi with brown rice and I try to cut each piece in half. Try a half of piece and see how you do!

    bad food weekend

I am right there with you! Yesterday I let the head hunger beat me:( this morning I ate a pumpkin whoopie that someone delivered to me! No more!!! You are what you eat. And I don't want to look like a whoopie:) let's stay strong!
  10. Hi all, I read this post op regularly but have never posted. I had the band and a hernia repair almost three weeks ago and have doing great. On Wednesday, I started having sharp pains underneath and to the left of my large incision. I ignored it but everyday it gets worse especially in the evening. I have read that some people have post pains but is your port site a 3 inch mass? Has anyone ever experienced this pain before? Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

I am new to this! I am being banded 11/23. I feel like my doctor has me in the dark,:smile2: he has not said anything about a two week pre-op diet?? I am also getting a hiatal hernia fixed at the same time that they are putting in the lap band. Does anyone know anything about True Results in Dallas? I am here asking for tips, comments, and suggestions to get me through the next couple of weeks. Congrats to everyone:smile2:
