  1. I come & go off pretty often/quickly. I started at 285, hence the #'s after my name, but I'm not sure what my target weight will be. I haven't been of a normal weight in decades so I have nothing to judge it on. How about you?

  2. That is awesome!!! I was banded on 10/25 & felt the same way when the scale went below 250 for the first time in 4 or 5 years!! Congratulations :)
  3. There definitely should have been better information for you before the procedure, I'm not sure where the fault for that lies. For instance, my surgeon has an approx 2 hr class given by the bariatric nurse coordinator on the day of your pre-op tests. All the patients having the surgery the same day as you attend together, unless they make other arrangements, but attending the class is mandatory. In the class they go over everything that will happen & what you can expect to feel etc from the minute you check in for your surgery. I have to say she was right on the mark about the whole 24-28hrs I spent at the hospital!
  4. More important then the starvation mode factor you are entering malnutrition with such limited calories, this is evident with the lack of BM as well.
  5. I haven't posted much yet myself but I've read many of your posts Elfie and I wish you all the best with your revision surgery!! You are a very thoughtful & helpful member of these forums. Please post updates here so we can take the journey with you

    I am in ONDERLAND!!!!!

Congratulations!!! I love to hear such great news, it helps me be patient while I get there myself. You have to be so proud of yourself :smile2:
  7. PATTYPWK-Don't be so hard on your body, try to remember an all liquid diet is not natural for a body so it is hard to predict weight loss. All body would react differently to such a shock to the system! I was also banded on 10/25 but my doctor only required an all liquid diet 1 day pre-op & moves us straight to soft/mushy/pureed 1 day post-op.
  8. I was banded on 10/25 & am feeling terrific!! I go for my first post op doctor appointment tomorrow where my first official weigh in since surgery day will happen. I don't trust my home scales accuracy, I just use it as a guide, but it shows 10lbs down. Happy to find fellow October 2010 bandsters to share the journey with!!
