Hello To All My August All-Stars!!! Okay so today is my 3rd day post-op from being banded on 8-8-08! I can't believe I was walking out of the out patient surgery within an hour... crazy.. LOL Anyways.. I think I am doing well.. except I have gas pains .. AHHH seriously I think I have overdosed on GasX and continously walking. My port area is sore and I am hoping that will go away soon. I haven't been hungry except for the smell of food... is kinda playing with my mind.. at first i was wondering if I made a mistake by getting the lap band... I am just trying to stay positive... Maybe I will try creamy soups today... or the drinkable yougarts... has anyone tried those yet 3 days post op?? Or should I wait?

i am having pain and i dont know if its gas or something serious... its a lot of pressure right under my brests.. when i breath in its a little painful.. i have been trying to force my self to burp.... anyone else have this issue after the surgery?

Thank you all for making me feel better.... For a second I was feeling I just made a huge misktake.... Yesterday the doctor told me clear liquids for 24 hours... shich i have done... is it okay to drink the campbells soup? I bought the to go.. creamy tomato.. is that good?

Hell all .. So my surgery is tomorow morning and I am sooo nervous/scared/excited/ wanna get it over with... ahhh... LOL

Hey ALL Lovely People, Okay sooooo I feel soooo gross... I have been eating everything in sight for the last 2 plus weeks.. (I know, not good)... I know that I will not be able to eat like this ever again.. and I am doing the surgery for a lifestyle change... Did anyone else pig out?? Or is it just me?? LOL

Thank you all for your advice... Okay so I am going to do a liquid diet starting tomorrow... for Wed and thurs and do you think this will help? Crazy thing is .. my doc never said anything about a pre op diet... but I dont want to have the surgery cancelled ...

Thanks sweetie... You are so right... ahh this morning I already had pancakes from McDonalds and a English Muffin.... ahh... I went to the doctor yesterday for my consultation... tomorrow I go for my pre opp.. and than on Friday I have to be at the surgery center at 6:30am for surgery at 8:30am.. .. That would so not be good if they tell me they can't op on me.. :thumbup: I would be heartbroken..... okay I gotta be good..

Hi All!! My name is Lisa Marie, but you can call me Lisa... I am 27 years old and currently live in Las Vegas , NV. I like most of on here have struggled with my weight. I have tried every diet, diet pill and starvation to lose weight. I did at one time lose over 100 pounds while I was on the Aktins diet. However, I learned that once I put a peice of bread in my mouth it would be hello weight gain. LOL I am tired of hearing people tell me, "OMG if you lost weight, you will be gorgous, etc. " I am tired of my weight being the topic of discussion with my "skinny" friends. I just want to be healthy and happy and maybe find love, is that too much to ask for? I want to shop at "regular" stores and not have to spend double the amount of money on a pair of jeans.. LOL anyways.. I am scheduled for surgery August 8th, 2008. So 8-8-08 is my day where my second chance begins. I had my seminar July 9th, went for blood work and EKG on July 23rd, was approved July 30th and hello August 8th. :Banane34: :party: I am soooo excited but yet soooo scared, I come on the site and site for hours reading the forum.. and I think I am scaring myself no reason. Anyways, I am to a huge GIANTS fan and can not wait for the season to begin.. We are taking it all the way again this year!!!!! Well I am excited to get to know everyone during this life long changing journey! Hope everyone has a great weekend. :huh2:

Girl! There is a time when enough is enough! Since the doctor already approached his staff and demanded to try, its says he has your best interest at heart. However, the lazy coordinator is a slacker. I would go straight to the doctor. I would write down each time you had to do research, call the insurance, and also include his visit the date, etc. and then let him know that she "forgot" to submit the paper work. She seems like a bitch.. excuse my language.. LOL... But if I was there I would go do it for you. :biggrin:

I finally got approved!!!!!!!!!!! Thank goodnes, because I have been so stressed out about this! I am ready to make a life style change... And I feel like I am being given a second chance!

OMG I am... I am so ready to get this surgery going.. I am just so scared that I will have a bad experience... I have been doing so much reading and some of the issues that some people have with the band scare me.. I will just need to pray for a smooth recovery.

So I am just venting... I still have not received the final approval for my lap band surgery and I am scheduled for August 8th! I have been looking forward to this.. so hoepfully I will hear something soon. Aside from that I am slammed at work .. I have 25 new projects ( I am a project manager) and my admin's last day is Friday... One of my co-workers will be on vacation starting Friday and I have been assigned all of her stuff! OMG so stressed. Not to mention school and my ex.. (who broke up with me... and told me he needs a break.. and to contact him when I lose weight).. decided to call me and see if we can work things out. F* Him... lol ahhh okay thanks for letting me vent...

My surgery date is supposed to me 8-8-08.. BUT I am still waiting for my insurance to approve... and this is driving me crazy. Just venting.

Hey Cindy! We are in the same boat! LOL... I am playing the waiting game.. grrr... anyways I will keep trying to stay positive... Thank you for the compliament... but I am a BIG girl.. in that pic I was 255... I was working out 2 times a day and no carbs... CRAZY. I had no life but the gym.. and thats just not natrual

Sweetie! Your "friend" is obviously intimidated on how pretty you are now, and just the fact that you want to lose more weight.. (congrats by the way) for you, she is afraid that all of the attention will go to you and not her. It seems as if she is trying to get you to feel bad about yourself OR get you to think you are okay with the weight you are currently at... ( You are very pretty... no matter how big or small you are)... It seems as if she thinks she tells you this... you will listen and will not try to lose weight, so she will not be in "competition" with you... She is what we call a "hater" LOL.... Let her hate.. and you continue to motivate yourself... keep up the great work... you look Fantastic!

I didn't even think about the sex part... hmmm maybe its because I do not get any as of right now.. LMAO... But yeah we should def all keep in touch... I am crossing my fingers... I feel sooo bad because like I am constanly bugging the girl that is taking care of my paper work.. LOL..

I went to the doctors on Wed... she submitted the info then... She told me that Anthem Blue Cross is fast to approve... So I am stressing.. LOL.. I alreay took time off to have the surgery.. etc.. I want it soooo bad... LOL It took me forever to finally decide this is something I want... and now.. its.. AHHHH
