  1. I know what you guys are talking about. I have one of those big tubs that every time something is too big I just throw it in the tub and put the lid on. It's actually pretty full, so hoping to deliver it to our Goodwill soon. I do have a

question to you all though, do you put your "too big" bras in the pile or throw them away. I've had several and I put them in the tub but the other day someone told me I shouldn't be giving those away to toss them. I would love your opinion. Thanks, Connie

  2. I'm having one in a couple of weeks, but I am really unsure of what it is and what it does. I have been banded since September 2, 2010 and have only lost 37 pounds and in the last 2 months I have only lost 2 pounds. I'm taking zumba 2 nights a week and I walk 5 days a week plus watch what I eat. So the doc said next visit I would have a barium swallow. Anyone had one of these and what does it show? And if it shows anything can it be fixed without another surgery? Thanks for all responses. Connie

  3. PB means productive burp, in other words a burp with a little something with it, usually saliva that is slimy. Sometimes when you're stuck this happens and sometimes you don't have to be stuck at all, It can be from over eating to something that just doesn't agree with you. At least this is in my case.

  4. Be very careful doing the Atkins diet, I did it in the 70's and lost 30 pounds in less than 3 months, but I went overboard and was not getting enough carbs and messed my kidneys up royally. Still to this day I have all kinds of trouble. True I kept the weight off for over a year after I lost the weight and ate pretty much anything I wanted but the consequences were just too great for me. I was eating less than 10 carbs A DAY and it was saying I should have been eating at least 45 - 60, and it really did play harshly on my body, so just make sure you get enough of the right carbs in if you plan to stay with it. Of course, this was just my experience and may not hurt anyone else. Good Luck in whatever route you take. Connie

  5. Good Luck Princess. I know exactly what you mean as I am starting Zumba this coming Tuesday night. It's hard to imagine being able to move my 213 pound body to all those moves (oh and by the way I am only 4' 11''), but I'm sure going to give it a try. I've found out in this weight loss journey of mine that I at least have to try and if I don't exactly get to the point of where I hoped I would, at least I do have the satisfaction of saying I tried which I don't know about you guys, but it's a whole lot more than what I was doing before the LapBand. LOL Anyway good luck and give it all you got. Connie

  6. I had to take my mom to the dr. today and while sitting in the waiting room I crossed my legs (as if I had been doing it all along LOL). I sat there a good 15 minutes reading a magazine and it was like BAM I looked down and I was actually swinging my leg and it had been crossed the whole time. I almost jumped up and shouted right there in the waiting room. I can't tell you how many many years it's been since I've been able to cross my legs. Something as simple as that can bring such joy. Thanks for letting me share.

  7. Dave, I was banded September 2nd with a 14cc REALIZE band with no fill at time of surgery. 5 weeks later I was given a 3 cc fill and then in November 3 cc more, still no restriction. In December he gave me 1.5 cc and I had restriction for 2 weeks but now nothing, so I'm figuring I'm close, just not there yet. I go tomorrow for my monthly visit and I'm hoping he will give me a small fill, but I did lose 7 pounds this past month, so I may have to wait a while longer. I've heard it takes 7 - 9 cc in a 14 cc, so hopefully I'm almost there. Wish me luck and I will do the same for you. Good Luck!

  8. First of all congrats on losing the 47 lbs. I do understand your depression tho because of it being 17 months, I would think you would have lost more. What does your dr. say about your weight loss, surely he doesn't think you are on track. I would talk it over with him or your nurse and see what they say. It may be something simple that you haven't even thought about. Good Luck and keep us informed.

  9. I had it so bad that a week after my surgery I went to the ER as occasionally my shoulder dislocates and I was sure that is what was wrong, but it was the gas from the surgery and after about 3 more days and a lot of gas-x strips and a lot of walking it finally went away. Man that gas they give you is a monster.
