Veterans ONLY please. One year + post op.

Like it was stated before, we already have a veterans forum. Are you asking Alex to put a stop to anyone posting in this forum who isn't 18 months post op? Or are you asking to start a new vets forum? I don't want a new one started. I think there are too many already. ( forums) If there is a way to stop anyone from posting in the current vets forum unless they are 18 months post op, then I am all for that.

How was your 5:2 day today?

To upload a photo, click on the "more reply options" bottom right corner, then click on "choose file", find your photo and upload it. Click "add to post", click "post" or "preview, then post" To upload a YouTube video, just Copy the video's IP in the top bar, then Paste it in the "reply to this topic", I copied and pasted this from another thread so I don't lose it. I've never known how to do any of this. I'd love to copy and paste the sugar daddy pictures into my facebook. That's hilarious and so true! Sheryl your hoseback ride with all the wildlife and animals sounds like a trip to heaven.

Over 60 and having the sleeve

I am 100% for the sleeve. !! Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App Get that band out before it ruins your stomach and you can't get any kind of revision surgery. I had my band out and got the sleeve in the same surgery, 7 years ago. i am 63 now. It was the best decision of my life. The sleeve works so well. I can still only eat small portions. Just like the sleeve though, candy is my biggest threat. The sleeve does not stop sweet cravings and unfortunately, most of them go down just fine. I'm still fighting a 10 lb regain but at 7 years, I am thrilled that's all it is. It's harder to lose weight the older we get. It could easily be 20 or more, if I didn't watch things so closely.

Over 60 and having the sleeve

I went to Mexico 7 years ago and got sleeved, revision from band. I was in the hospital 3 nights, but I didn't need to be. That's just the way they do things. I was out of my room most of the time, walking around outside. Feel free to ask me anything.

That sounds like so much fun Sheryl. I don't know if I ever told you, I used to have 2 horses. I loved riding them. They saved my sanity after my husband was killed. Adorable pictures Georgia!! I am going to Portland to my granddaughter's birthday party this weekend. I am trying to find someone online to go out for entertainment Saturday night. I wrote to a guy who says he loves to dance and goes to a Salsa Club every weekend. More than likely, I'll be spending the evening watching tv in my motel room. I decided I can't stay with them anymore bc my DIL drives me insane. I'm hoping I can take my granddaughter to the movies and see the new Ellen De Generes movie.

Stop the negativity! Post something that makes you giggle.

I have no idea how to post pictures or videos. I have to get that figured out. I'm saving this thread for when I have time to watch all the videos! You guys should meet in the chat room. You'd enjoy talking "live" to each other.

How was your 5:2 day today?

There are nice intelligent men in Oregon but it seems they don't want me. The losers do though. I can only hope I won't be alone forever. I have to keep hoping. I was down another lb on the scale this a.m. but I've had a lot of junk today. Sometimes I think I should go on a fast and just not eat anything until I am down 10 lbs. I wonder if Kim is going to talk to us again. Has anyone seen her posting anywhere on the board? I hate to lose everybody!!

If this wasn't so pathetic it would be hilarious

The title of this thread says it perfectly. It's so pathetic. I don't even know why I try. Thank you! I wish I was making this stuff up. There are some nice, educated older men in Oregon but it seems only the losers reply to my profile.

I'm in Coos Bay/North Bend This guy lives in Eugene. Nobody lives here.

Oh it gets even better. I told him on the phone what he did really bothered me. So, I decided to give him one more chance. Today, I drove to his town, yes 2 hours away, and we were going to go kayaking again. I get there, and he has no teeth. Finally, I asked him where his teeth were, and he said "in the truck" After kayaking, he tried to kiss me and I pushed him away, so he only got a peck. then he told me to call him later. I waited about half an hour and sent him a text that I wasn't going to call him, because we aren't a match, and that's why I didn't want to kiss him! and then I added "good luck with your search"

How was your 5:2 day today?

I'll post. I went out on a date with a guy who took out his teeth at the table when he took me out to lunch. I'm going to be alone forever I posted about it in the mars and venus collide forum. It was so gross! I am really enjoying my trainer. He's really good and motivating. I just wish I could lose a few lbs as I am eating right and exercising and nothing is happening. It's really frustrating. I should just box up all my clothes that don't fit and get rid of them all. I'm going out of town tomorrow to a neighboring town and am looking forward to that. Plus I bought my plane tickets to go to Chicago in August and I am really looking forward to that. Sheryl I know people like that too. I know a guy who was trying to live on $700 a month social security. I finally had to stop being friends with him because he was always asking to borrow money, and every time I saw him, I became depressed.

I met a guy through Match, and we decided on our first date. He lives 2 hours away, so we decided to meet half way. We met at a restaurant for lunch and then we were going to go kayaking. We ordered lunch, and our food came. He started to eat his lunch, and said "this is never going to work." Then he took his teeth out and set them on the table. He covered them up with his napkin. He looked really weird without his teeth, and I could barely look at him. I can't get the picture of him without his teeth and his dentures on the table out of my mind. . My dad used to do the same thing and it annoyed the heck out of me, but he was 90 years old. This guy is 65, a year and a half older than me. Honestly, do people not know what manners are?

    Does anyone want to chat?

I am really glad I posted this. It just so happened that someone else from Oregon came to chat. She's being sleeved soon, and hopefully, we will be meeting before she goes back to work. I hope I made a new friend. I hope people are using the chat room. Anyone who talks to friends here through the threads can set up a time to chat with each other.
  16. We actually aren't supposed to eat celery. It can ball up in the stomach and not digest. We can eat small amounts chopped up like in tuna salad but not supposed to eat a celery stalk. I know someone who had to go to the hospital and have this bezoar removed and it was celery. I am 7 years out. I was lactose intolerant for the first year or so. Sugar will give me really stinky gas however. It's a bad thing around Halloween. I can eat anything. I eat whatever I want, but I try to eat the right things.
  17. This is all common sense. I guess it isn't to someone who has never used the net for anything besides email.

How was your 5:2 day today?

I had to tell a younger person what Memorial day was for. She didn't understand why she was getting a day off work. Went out with the artist and I couldn't wait to come home. I think he has Aspergers or something. He's one odd duck. I hope he realized the date was awful so I don't have to tell him we aren't a match. I agree Sheryl that by 61 people need to start having an exact idea regarding retirement. I get really sick of men that are penniless at that age and I know a lot of them. Most of them will say their ex wife has it all. I'm glad I got Match for half price.I wouldn't have paid if it hadn't been a better deal than full price. They are different than the ones on POF. Some are the same. I'm getting a lot of interest from out of town guys. That's ok cause they are either retired or getting reading to. I wish I wasn't so picky. I hate 61 year old men that look like an old man. They look 80 to me. My trainer looked up gabapentin and he said it does cause weight gain for some people and also makes it difficult to lose. I just wish I could get addicted to exercise the way I used to be. I wonder how Kim is doing. I think she's really to be admired for supporting her man while he travels. I would not be that strong. I've had a horrible weekend. All my friends were busy with their families and I basically watched tv non stop, other than my bad 2 hour date.

Oh that's right Sheryl, I forgot he has kids. That does throw a money wrench in everything. There were a couple of other things too that you felt would not work long term. the artist turned out to be a big disappointment, as usual. His pictures must have been really old. I was attracted to his picture but when I met him, all I felt was let down. He's kind of an odd ball, in many ways too. I guess the best word to describe him is a complete nerd. I am going to go out with him though. We only met for a brief time. I am always that way when I find someone online. I want to meet ASAP so I know what I am dealing with, but only for a brief time. Then I reassess. He wants to take me out, so I will go but I don't think we are a match. Coops, I hope things turn a corner for you! I know what you mean about a funk. I've been in one for a long time. Tonight is especially depressing. There's a really good band playing and I really wanted to go out. I get so sick of sitting in the house practically 24/7. Sat. night and I'm sitting home alone again with nobody to go anywhere with.

How was your 5:2 day today?

I still really haven't lost anything . When I said it was just like before surgery, I didn't mean the weight was the same. I meant the losing is the same. I can lose a couple of lbs, but I can't keep it off. On a happier note, I found a guy on Mach.com so I decided to make a profile. I barely made it out and put my picture on there, and he messaged me. He had paid extra so I could answer his message without paying. We messaged back and forth some on Match and he gave me his email address. He's definitely looking to settle down. He was married for 21 years. We've exchanged emails all day and he's going to call tomorrow. He wants to meet right away. he's my age, and he's really cute. He's an artist. I've seen his art on his profile and he's really good. I know it's stupid bc we haven't met, but I haven't been this excited about someone in a long time. He has everything on my check off list. Wish me luck. I hope he doesn't care that I'm slightly heavier than that picture.

    Constipation.

Miralax is not meant to be used long term. It's ok for a few days. It can cause kidney failure if used long term. My mom died from kidney failure.
  23. Hello all, Years ago, when Bariatric Pal first started, chat was really popular. I know there is a problem doing what I do if you're on a mobil ap. I always open up "the room" and go about surfing the net. I can hear a doorbell ring if someone comes into the chat room. So give me a minute to get back there. I had the band for 2 years and I revised to a sleeve 7 years ago. Anyone want to talk? click on Chat up above next to new content.

    Does anyone want to chat?

If you look up above, next to store and new content is CHAT Click on that. You should tell someone that you're going in there like I did. Put up a post that you're looking for someone to chat with. I am opening up the chat window and I hope someone clicks on Chat, so I have someone to talk to.

What the F**K Up with the Constipation!

I use Metamucil. It's just adding Fiber to your diet. I put it in crystal lite and drink it fast. It makes a huge difference. I remember buying some sort of magnesium from the health food store. It was expensive. Is this Calm expensive? Metamucil is cheap. Oh, I am sorry. I didn't even know this was the men's room. It was in recent topics on the right.
