Non-Band Related Forums

I can't vote. It gave me the results of the poll, but nowhere to click my choice. I think it should stay the same because it says right on the new posts section which area the post is in. If it says Rants, and someone clicks on it, that's their choice. -
Where are you right clicking? I did a right click right above this text box and got back reload bookmark this page, view source, about anything except spell check this field. I feel like an idiot.

I have firefox too. No spell check. I have a little Franklin speller that sits on my desk that I use. I'd like to find the spell check on here.

I can't believe I made it through this entire thread, ,that has been going on for almost a year. You are the funniest people in my small world, that's for sure!! Thank God for LBT. Earlier you were talking about mamograms. I have the lady who gave me mine to thank for my band. She was talking about her band while she was doing mine and turned what would have been my not most pleasant experiece of the day, into the day I scheduled my banding surgery. Alls well that ends well. Unfortunately, I am not nearly as funny as all of you, so I will go back into lurkdom.

I was on a two month plateau and then woke up one day and had lost 5 lbs. I don't want to go that long again, but I sure have no anwers. I tried that 6 small meal a day for a few days and gained 2 lbs. My body is messed up. And Yes, I exercise 6 days a week.

I have the up and down arrows and a box with two A's on it and nothing else. There is no ABC or a check mark. I wonder why mine is different.

If you don't have a fill yet, and you are on mushies, there are quite a few things you can have. My dr. told me mushies is just another word for soft foods. There is a secion in here somewhere that lists a lot of mushy foods. It's probably in the food section.

I am going to call and get a fill at the beginning of June. I don't want to go on these long plateaus of over a month and lose one single lb. If I don't lose anything in May, I am calling. I meant to say I have gone all through the month of May so far and haven't lost one single lb.

Most people try to not eat very many carbs, and stick in the 1200 calorie range. There is a post on there you can search for "how many calories do you eat in one day?"
-
Where do you go to download this. I have bold, Italic and underline at the top of this box, and a one to change the color.

The reason you are supposed to be on liquids isn't for dieting purposes. It's because your stomach has to digest foods and it isn't supposed to be churning and digesting, it's supposed to be healing. You can't tell what's going on in there even if you are chewing well. The band needs to heal on the stomach and you could do damage way down the road from now by eating too quickly.

I can eat popcorn like I don't even have a band. It makes me mad. Some foods cause so many problems. I wish pop corn did. If I go to the movies with anyone else, they don't get popcorn, but my daughter always does. I usually have a couple of handfulls and think I wish it would get stuck so I wouldn't crave it.

Congratulations!!

Go on liquids for at least 24 hours and if it doesn't help, call you dr. You can't necessarily tell when you have slipped. Everyone tells me we are supposed to go on liquids for 24 hours after a fill and some people do mushies for the next 24 hours after that.
-
Audree, you may have not chewed it well enough. I have that happen to me, too. I don't pb, but it sure hurts until it's unstuck. It's always because things have been going so well, that I forget to take a tiny bite and chew very well.
-
I bet everything's okay. They say the band gets looser because we have lost fat around our stomach. I hope that's just what's going on with you! I can't wait to hear what you find out.

A thread for Single Bandsters
Oregondaisy replied to NewBeginnings2018's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Carol, I hope you are more successful than I have been. I have only lost 32 lbs in 5 months.22 of it was the first 4 weeks while I was on a liquid diet. They told me it would be slower for me because I am 54, and because I didn't have as much to lose as some people. I felt I had plenty to lose. I am going to get my nerve up and get another fill at the beginning of June, I think. -
I have heard of a lot of other people who have more of a fill not being able to eat bread, rice noodles, etc. with out throwing up. I haven't tried bread. There are some posts you could search on "which foods are you not able to eat" or "which foods give you trouble"
-
Please let us know how you feel after your fill. I want to hear how much it takes you to feel full or satisfied and if you are having any trouble. I am going to get one at the beginning of June. I am doing EVERYTHING I am told to do and not losing. Sometimes I eat small portions because that's what I was told to do, but I know I could eat a lot more. Sometiems I am full very fast but I get hungry again in 2 hours. My weight loss has been very disappointing and I think another fill is the answer for me too.

When are you going to have this done. I am really curious to hear what you find out. I worry I stretched mine out too.

On another thread they said there is spell check on here but I can't find it.

Taking Suggestions for NEW LBT Features!
Oregondaisy replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
I can't find the spell check. I didn't think we needed to download anything to be able to use the LBT features. I also don't see a calendar above on the blue line. It starts with home and ends with log out. Is that where there is supposed to be a calendar? -
Taking Suggestions for NEW LBT Features!
Oregondaisy replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
I noticed that there are now threads for each state. I think it would be nice if there was a section for threads by the months. I always have to search all over for the December banster thread. I hope I am not asking for too much. I already appreciate everything you do Alex. LBT is by far the best and you must be a genius to keep up with all of this. -
Boy you sound exactly like me. I can't decide if I should get one or not. I am not losing weight. When I went to the doctor, he said I didn't need one because I had just lost 5 lbs after being on a plateau for 3 months. So now I have decided I am getting one at the beginning of June if I haven't lost anything this month. I don't want another very long plateau. Then when I get something stuck, I think I am never getting another one again. But really it's my own fault if something gets stuck, from eating too fast or not cutting my meat up small enough.
